A Striped Peplum Top

Yesterday after church we took a Sunday afternoon drive. I love a Sunday afternoon nap but this time of year we like to drive around and look at the fall foliage.

We also have a Cuban pastor staying with us and we wanted to take him to some beautiful areas in central Kentucky.

I wanted to be comfortable so I wore this striped peplum top from Loft. The sizes are selling out quickly since Loft is having a 50% off sale plus free shipping so I thought I better share it with you today.

A Striped Peplum TopI paired it with my leopard lace up flats. I also have these leopard flats and they are back in stock!

A Striped Peplum TopThis Sole Society bag from Nordstrom is also back in stock. It’s my favorite “everyday” bag. You can find it here!

A Striped Peplum TopMy trench coat is from Loft too. I purchased it in the spring and it’s no longer available. But this one from Loft is very similar. It’s also 50% off.

Beauty For the Heart~~This time of year can get busy. Let’s be honest, some of you have already started Christmas shopping.

It’s easy to get caught up with all the things we want to do or have to do and not enjoy the journey. Take time today to slow down even if it’s just for a few minutes.

Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about to do before your eyes! 1 Samuel 12:16

  1. Perfect outfit. You look adorable and comfortable. I’m taking a class and the expert has told me I can’t wear skinnies because I’m pear shaped. I have a love hate with fashion rules. I’m going to copy this outfit and wear it with confidence!!!

  2. Good Morning! I also LOVE stripes and your outfit looks great! Enjoy early fall in KY. Leaves have not started to turn here in South Jersey! I’m missing the “Pin It” button in this post…

  3. Cyndi, I’m a member of the church where you will be speaking Saturday. I will not be there due to an obligation to which I committed in May (before I knew about the conference). However, we are so excited that you are coming and you are already, and will continue to be, covered in prayer. It’s going to be amazing!!!!

    In Christ,

  4. Today’s bag is sold out. I liked it a lot. Has anyone seen a reasonably priced large leather brown bag? I prefer real leather, but they can be very expensive.

    1. I just checked on that bag myself and was disappointed it’s not available. Jessica Simpson has some really great leather handbags at fair prices. “Fair” meaning a price that’s slightly higher but I’m willing to pay if I’m certain I’ll get LOTS of use out of it (black or tan). Her bags are usually a good size, too. Happy purse shopping!

  5. what happened with the construction of the peplum to the bottom of the body of the garment ?? I cringe when I see critical comments on the blog but it is a distraction the way the stripes line up. or is it just from the point of view of one who sews ??

  6. Love the leopard + stripes, Cyndi! I have featured several outfits with this combo on my blog this fall. I may also be obsessed with stripes…I am even dressing my baby bump in them now. 🙂 Melissa

  7. Hi Cyndi. Love your outfit. I’ve been looking for a trench coat similar to what you are wearing. From all your previous posts, it seems like we are the same size. I would usually buy a size 6 in a coat like that and was wondering if it ran big or is more true to size.

  8. Happy To Send My Prayer’s To Cyndi Spivey In Kentucky For Her Trip To Georgia !!! Just a little cute way to send a happy smile to you !!

  9. Cyndi … praying that the Holy Spirit anoints you powerfully during your speech so that many can be filled with Jesus’ love, peace, wisdom and healing. Hugs!

  10. I wil say some prayers for you I’m sure you will be great. I just bought a black and white striped cardigan this weekend love those colors. Your outfit is very cute. I spent the weekend with my kids and grandchildren so much fun. Thank you for sharing. 😊

  11. Georgia is going to just love what you have to say about faith and fashion!!
I feel sorry for Lucy, she can’t make it and lives there!
Cyndi, you will have a wonderful experience there and
I also wish I could come listen to you and visit my sister in Cumming, Georgia.
    God Bless

  12. Cyndi, He is in ALL OF US!! OF COURSE you will do FINE in Georgia!! And I know what you mean about stripes-I love them too!

  13. I have that same peplum top & it is my go- to top in the Fall in between weather in Mississippi. Now that it is getting colder I will layer with a jacket I guess. You look great in the top!
