Add A Pop Of Color To An All-Black Outfit

This post is sponsored by Nordstrom and Shopstyle.

Hi ladies! This time of year, I love to wear an all-black outfit. An all-black outfit will never go out of style, and almost everyone looks great in black.

When I wear black, I love to add a pop of color with my shoes or handbag, and since it’s the holidays, I added a pop of red with my heels.

I also love adding some bling to my outfit, and this sweater has the cutest jeweled detail.

I’ve mentioned before that I’m trying to wear different styles of pants and jeans. Flare pants and jeans are becoming more popular, and these Spanx Flare Ponte Pants have great reviews, and I see why.

They are so comfortable, and they hug in all the right places. They do run small, so I suggest sizing up,

I think this outfit is perfect for the holidays, whether you wear it for Christmas or New Year’s Eve.

Jeweled Bow Sweater (I’m wearing a small)//Spanx Flare Ponte Pants (These run small, size up, I’m wearing a medium)//Earrings//Red Heels (similar option HERE)//Clutch

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

Beauty for the Heart~~ This morning I went to my workout class and at the end of the workout, during the cool down, they played the song Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, by Lauren Daigle.

Our sweet instructor reminded us that no matter what we face today to turn our eyes to Jesus. What a great reminder!

O soul are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s light for a look at the Savior
And life more abundant and free
Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

Have a blessed day!

  1. I have the straight leg version of these with the seam down the backside. I sized up but they still feel like leggings to me so I’m uncomfortable wearing a regular sweater or top with them. As always, you look great.

  2. I have to tell you I had a night mare last night and you were in it! We were at some type of conference, for bloggers. (I was going to launch my own blog 18 months ago and we ended up moving…so, not happening)
Anyway, I was about to meet you and I looked down and I had a Laura Ashley jumper with a white lace collar blouse, white tights and white ballet flats. LOL! I WAS HORRIFIED! I woke up in total emotional horror and had to take a few minutes to work it through! Hope I get to meet you some day and that this is NOT what I will be wearing. Hope you have a wonderful day!

    1. Having worn white hose and white heels once upon a time, this cracked me up! I know you will look stunning if you ever get to meet Cyndi!

  3. If you want to branch out from slim and skinny leg jeans and pants, I recommend Lee jeans bootcut. I wear them all the time. They are slim in the thigh and have more room in the lower leg area. I’m not a fan of flares, but I do have some wider leg pants from Loft that I will hopefully wear to work when I return.

  4. Your legs look a mile long. I’m a fan, and think the pants are very flattering on you! Thank you for stepping out into a different style.

  5. These look great on you, of course, but I will not be jumping on the bell-bottom train! They stir up too many memories of middle school LOL! Take care and have a merry Christmas!

  6. I think you look stunning in this outfit!! It is a bit pricy but can be worn for so many occasions!

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus” is such a good reminder to put our hope and energy into Kingdom living.

O Come let us Adore Him!!
