Chambray Tunic + White Jeans

Happy Mother’s Day weekend! Well, all good things must come to an end and today is our last full day in Florida. We have had so much fun! Both of our adult children, our son-in-law, and our grandchild are with us and spending time with them has been priceless.

We will head home tomorrow and I have to pack again for another trip. I’m flying out Monday morning for a trip with Jo-Lynne and we will share about it all next week. (I’m going to need a vacation from my vacations. Haha!)

Today I’m styling this adorable chambray tunic from Glamour Farms. Glamour Farms is giving away a $10 gift card this weekend! (Plus I still have my $10 off code below.)

Chambray Tunic + White JeansI’m styling the tunic with white jeans because it’s a little short for me. But if you’re petite, this could be a dress for you.

I love the double ruffle detail and the fringe hemline.

Chambray Tunic + White JeansWe don’t have any big plans for Mother’s Day. We will head to church on Sunday morning and then out to lunch. Do you have any big plans this weekend??

Beauty For the Heart~~I have shared this poem before but it reminds me so much of my Mom and she loved it. So in honor of my amazing Mom.

I’ve never made a fortune, and it’s probably too late now.
But I don’t worry about that much, I’m happy anyhow
And as I go along life’s way,
I’m reaping better than I sowed.
I’m drinking from my saucer,
Cause my cup has overflowed.

Haven’t got a lot of riches,
and sometimes the going’s tough
But I’ve got loving ones all around me,
and that makes me rich enough.
I thank God for his blessings,
and the mercies He’s bestowed.
I’m drinking from my saucer,
Cause my cup has overflowed.

I remember times when things went wrong,
My faith wore somewhat thin.
But all at once the dark clouds broke,
and the sun peeped through again.
So Lord, help me not to gripe,
about the tough rows I have hoed.
I’m drinking from my saucer,
Cause my cup has overflowed.

If God gives me strength and courage,
When the way grows steep and rough.
I’ll not ask for other blessings,
I’m already blessed enough.

And may I never be too busy,
to help others bear their loads.
Then I’ll keep drinking from my saucer,
Cause my cup has overflowed.

  1. Thank you for that sweet poem and Happy Mother’s Day. Colt Allen is precious and you look cute as always.
May you always drink from your saucer!

  2. Love the off the shoulder tunic, but how do you keep it on the shoulder and not ride up? I seem to have this issue with my off the shoulder tops.

    1. Kristie, I do have to pull it down when I’m wearing it. I wore this out to dinner so it didn’t bother me. I don’t think there are any secrets with off the shoulder tops, you just have to be willing to adjust them a little while you’re wearing them.
      Hope that helps!

      1. How does it look if you wear it on the shoulders? It’s adorable but can’t do off the shoulders very well!!

  3. So super cute! I tried a dress yesterday with a double ruffle sleeve and off shoulder styling. It was cute on the hanger & cute on BUT way too much fabric on my frame. That looks about right for a cute dress. ha! Love the way you styled it. 🙂 Have fun on your last day of vacation. Happy Mother’s day early!

  4. Very cute outfit and looks so good with your sun tan. Thank you for sharing the beautiful poem and Wishing you a Happy Mothers Day💐

  5. OMG this is so super cute! Just ordered one and can’t wait for it to get here! Love this look, Cindy! Happy Mother’s Day!

  6. Oh the poem, it just touched my heart so, yes my cup overflows and I am so blessed.
I will spend my Mother’s Day at the pool at U of L watching my kiddos swim, it will be hot and long and tiring but I will remember I am blessed. Happy Mother’s Day to you, Cyndi and to all that have loved and cared for any child.

  7. What part of Florida are you in? We have a home in the Florida panhandle, it looks similar to your pictures.

  8. Super cute 🙂 Happy Mother’s Day Cyndi – to you and Courtney!
Safe travels – excited to hear what you’re up to next.

  9. That poem brought tears to my eyes as my mom has been gone for 4 1/5 years now… how I miss her😪 But I will enjoy Mother’s Day with my two grown children and husband, and will remember what a strong Christian woman she was with a faith that never failed her.. Thanks for your post, you look beautiful as usual. Happy Mother’s Day to you and your daughter.

  10. I still wonder how your hair stays so full and beautiful in the Florida humidity – asked before but no answer – any special products?

    1. Hi Rosemary, I use Monat hair products and I absolutely love them. But, we are in the panhandle this week and the weather has been warm but not high humidity and that has helped. We have had a lot of wind so that’s why I have worn it up several days.

  11. Happ Mother’s Day, Cyndi. I loved the poem you shared. I am copying it and giving it to all of the women in my life. Never stop sharing your “Beauty For the Heart”. They are such an inspiration to me.

  12. Happy Mothers Day to you and Courtney! I’m glad y’all had such a nice time in FL. Praying y’all have a very safe drive home tomorrow.

  13. Adorable outfit. Fav of the week! We were blessed to have our mom 95 years. It’s the 2nd. Mother’s Day without her. Precious memories…
    Happy Mother’s Day!

  14. Thank you for your great posts and the poem today. I lost my mom two years ago this week and those words just touched my heart. I hope I can live my life so well. You are beautiful Cyndi. Thank you for the inspiration!

  15. Your heart so full of love for serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the epitome of classy southern style! Blessings to you and your precious family! Asking God for safe travels home!

  16. I keep saying maybe we should buy a place at the beach😉. I’m trying to spin how great it would be for our kids and future grands.😂 That tunic is really speaking to me. You look so cute! I’ve been wearing the exact same hat all week and LOVE it! Happy Motber’s Day, Cyndi and safe travels home tomorrow. BTW…I signed up for the next boot camp. (I’m just da nervous about it😬)

  17. Love this outfit, including the hat! My mom has been gone over 30 years now and I still miss her everyday. God bless you and yours and Happy Mothers Day. The poem is such a blessing to me.

  18. Adorable tunic! Is it one that could be worn on the shoulders as well? It looks great this way, but not for me!

    1. I was wondering the same thing ~ if it looks cute on the shoulders or it’s just too much material?! Thanks!

  19. So cute, Cyndi! You are so right about off the shoulder…. I jumped right in and bought three off the shoulder tops this spring. But, honestly, they are only wearable for date nights. For anything else it’s just too much hassle. I’ve decided to just do cold shoulder and I love that trend…. so while I really want to buy this tunic/dress…. I will resist! Thank for the wonderful poem!!! Blessings Krista

  20. Happy Mother’s Day! You inspire so many women! I love your heart! I’m just so intrigued by you taking all those clothes on a trip and getting your husband to take pictures! Skipping beach time for photos- what a woman! You work hard for this blog!

  21. I love this poem. It reminds me of my sweet momma too. I’m not sure how to approach this Sunday. I don’t want my children to think that they don’t light up my life, but with my mom only gone 5 months now, I’m still crying plenty over missing her. Ugh. Sunday will be hard! I’ll have to meditate on the fact that Mom is doing great in heaven – no more pain, or tears, or struggles. Thank you, Jesus. Blessings on you and your family, Cyndi. (BTW, I met your sister at church a couple of weeks ago! She’s great!)

  22. Really darling outfit! Can you tell me if you can wear the shirt on the shoulder instead of off the shoulder? Enjoy your Mother’s Day!

  23. Cyndi – you look BEAUTIFUL as always! This color is stunning on you. I have searched your blog archives a couple of times for your hair stylist’s contact information and I can’t find it. Is that something you would share again? I live in Louisville but would seriously consider driving to the Lexington area to get her to cut my hair. Your hair is GORGEOUS!

  24. Cyndi I would love to hear your thoughts on swimming suits and looking great at the beach at our age. Have a Happy Mother’s Day!

  25. Cyndi, I’m glad you had a good time in Florida with the family. We are going to do that after my son-in-law graduates from PA school in December. We are driving down and paid for our two daughters, our son-in-law and grandson to fly down. I love the chambray with white. It is a perfect summer combination. Love your sandals. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day. – Amy

  26. Cute outfit, lovely poem! Please style more dresses. I live in dresses in the summer. I think they give instant style. Happy Mother’s Day!

  27. Oh what a beautiful poem that is so true of all is Christian mothers! And that tunic is just adorable on you!! If love to see pics of your Florida trip! Happiest of Mothers Days!

  28. I LOVE this combo of the chambray top with white pants. I will be wearing it for the Mother/Daughter Grace & Beauty Style Challenge this week! 🙂 Thank you for sharing the poem also.

  29. Hi Cyndi! Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I love the looks from Glamour Farms and I’m tempted to order a few items, can I ask you how the sizing runs for the pants? I see they are missy sizes and wasn’t sure if they ran small? Thanks for your time and I love following your blog!
