Classic Work Wear Fashion

I have to say I like different style of clothes. I like the boho look, I like clothes with lace detail, I like bold colors and I like neutrals but I’m also a huge fan of a classic look.

This outfit today falls under the classic work wear fashion. All these pieces can be styled with different pieces so they’re good to have in your wardrobe. (FYI these are all from Loft and everything is on sale!)

Classic Work Wear FashionI love a blazer and this navy blue one from Loft is my favorite one right now. I’ve worn it with jeans, dresses and dress pants. It’s super versatile!

Classic Work Wear FashionThese Target wedges are my favorite and you all might be getting tired of seeing them. They go with so many outfits. They run true to size if you order them.

Classic Work Wear FashionThis cute crossbody saddle bag from Nordstrom is on sale for $18.98!

Classic Work Wear FashionIf I get warm (and let’s be honest at our age, we can get warm quick Ha!), I can take the blazer off and show off this cute striped top. If you’re looking for a good striped top for spring and summer, this is it!

Beauty For the Heart~~There are several places on my heart this morning that our in the news and experiencing devastation.

One is the earthquake in Ecquador. The images are hard to look at and the loss of life is unbelieveable. My sister sponsors a child from Compassion Int. from Ecquador and at this time we don’t know if he is alive.

Also the Houston, Texas area is experiencing flooding and so many people have water in their homes and there has been loss of life.

Join me today as we pray for these areas.“But in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.” Psalm 18:6

Have a blessed day!

  1. Don’t you just love these ankle pants?
My mom just bought some at the thrift store and she was going to lengthen them—I had to stop her (so now, we’ll be doing a post series on them). I think they are so perfect because you can wear heels or flats with them!!
I’m a huge fan of Loft clothing too—their style, and their sales!!
    You look marvelous Cyndi!! jodie

  2. I want these pants so bad and when looking on the site it shows them rolled up? ARe these the same ones you have on?

  3. This is the perfect work outfit to me. I especially love how the necklace works with it all. I looked into their chinos but didn’t have a clue on what size I’d need. Thanks for referencing!

  4. My heart goes out to these people as well. I am praying..

I love this whole outfit and will be purchasing it! Home Run

    Blessings

  5. I have these pants too, and also one in a print. I LOVE them!! The style I am most drawn to is classic, so I love, love this outfit. I think I have all the pieces to put it together, too. Thank you Cyndi. And thank you so much for the uplifting “beauty for the heart” posts. They set a beautiful tone for the day. Many blessings to you lovely lady!

  6. Super cute outfit which could be worn casual also. I love a blazer too. I’ve been trying some outfits this am, I had clothes everywhere, thank goodness I’m home alone. Hope your move is still going on? I haven’t seen you mention it recently.
Also thinking for all those in Equador, over here we constantly have on the news, hundreds of migrants drowning in the seas, travelling on unsafe overloaded boats to get into Europe from war zones, truly tragic
Have a wonderful Tuesday, hope the sun shines😎

  7. Great outfit. I got those same chino over the weekend in the teal glow color and I love them. I like that you can roll them up and they are so light and comfortable and so slimming too.

  8. A great outfit, Cyndi! I love the versatility of it. You could even dress this up for a night out on the town!

  9. Hi Cyndi,
This is such a cute outfit! You always have the best outfits. Did you get the pants in regular or petite?
    Thanks.

  10. Praying for all affected by these devastating events that they do not give up hope even though the situation seems so hopeless. Hold on to the promises of God for He tells us, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose for them.” Romans 8:28. I found out the true meaning of this verse after I lost my home/city in Hurricane Katrina. For me, things seemed so hopeless and so overwhelming that I couldn’t fathom how my family would get through it because life as we knew it in New Orleans changed. BUT, even in the darkest times, He is faithful. The love, prayers, and support of complete strangers was His shining light during that time. May God bless all from Houston to Ecquador. When there looks like there is no way, God makes a way!

Cyndi, I always see your blog as a little bit of sunshine on the darkest of days. Thank you again for sharing your fabulous style and fashion tips! Can’t wait to go to the Loft to see if I can pull it off!! Many blessings~Stacy

  11. Cyndi, I’m a big Loft fan myself and love their look. However, I’m noticing some quality changes in their clothing these days, particularly in the knits. I’m so very careful with our laundry and never dry clothes, yet the shirts seem to stretch out of shape. I spot cleaned a new shirt this past week and the color lightened in that area. Are you noticing anything yourself?
Love the bright spring colors you’re sporting today. So cheery!

    1. Tracy I haven’t noticed any changes but I’ll start looking a little more closely. I’m with you on washing my clothes. I rarely dry anything.
      Blessings,
      cyndi

  12. I love you post. I am 50 years old and Loft is my favorite place to shop as well. Your post is uplifting and our style is so much alike. I love to see how you put things together.
    Thank you

  13. Cyndi…..I have that top….ACTUALLY….I have it in the white, the pale blue, the deco print…AND this stripe….purchased the white first and loved the fit so returned for the others. This is a very lightweight sweater they call a Tee….I like that it is not tight, but not boxy either ….lightweight and sheer and requires a cami, yet not cheap looking and not the usual t-shirt material…..in my mind it’s a young fit while being forgiving……hard to find and hence the reason I went back for more. I’ve washed 3 of them so far and they came out fine. I haven’t snagged any yet with jewelry but I think if you’re not careful that could be an issue.

  14. Hi there
I like the Loft too but find lots of cute classic (muffin top friendly) pieces at Talbot’s. I’m a teacher and they give teacher discounts and I also got a birthday discount this month. Love your blog.
    In Him,

  15. I love this outfit. I think I tried these pants on and found them HUGE in the waist – once they fit over my hips. I read the other comments and others seem to love them so I’m sad…they are so cute. I’m on the hunt for pants that will fit my very pear shape. 🙂
Does anyone else have an issue with LOFT sizing? Sometimes I’m a medium and sometimes medium is too big but small is too small. Same issue with their jeans size 8 vs. size 6. I hate it because sometimes I love the style but can’t find the right fit.

    1. Hey, Gina…I’m in the same boat…lol…Loft is my go to place, I love to shop there especially when there’s a good sale. However, too feel the same way as you about their sizes. Sometimes, medium fits perfectly and other times it’s too big and the small is a bit fitted, which I personally don’t mind. I’d rather wear my clothes more fitted than too baggy. I wish the would offer size “small & a half” that would be ideal for me! Ha…All of my jeans from Loft are the modern skinny in size 4, but I wish I would’ve purchased size 2 since there is quite a bit of stretch to them.

  16. HI Cindy,
I Thought I remembered you posting a pair of flats form Payless in March 2016 with a navy toe and red floral on the rest of the shoe. I have searched your blog and cannot not seem to locate it. I have been to Payless twice and cannot locate them or on their website. Can you give me any information regarding the shoes? Thanks much!

  17. Hi Cyndi,
I love your outfit!! Thank you so much for your prayers for Houston.. It has been so scary! Thank God that my area was not flooded, but I am praying that all the families affected will find shelter and help soon..

  18. So glad to see this post! Ordered the jacket in the antique while and received today. Like it so much I am ordering the navy while still on sale! Love Loft!

  19. Hi Cyndi, I am a sales associate for Loft, and am so excited that you feature our styles on your blog!! I also love our styles, and often get different style inspirations from you! It’s always fun to see how other ladies style our clothes!

  20. Cyndi – I just discovered your blog and am loving all of the adorable, affordable and age-appropriate clothes that you share. It is so nice to see a style and budget conscious woman over the age of 25 making her mark on the web. I’ve used your outfits to restyle clothing from my own closet & purchased quite a few things I’ve seen you wear. Thanks for the inspiration and keep the good stuff coming!

  21. I love your style, Cyndi! I especially like the saddle bag purse today & clicked on your link. I thought you might like to know that the page you linked to indicates that the purse is not available.
    Have a great weekend,
    Karen

  22. My comment is alittle different. While your outfit choices are great and very classy and age appropriate, I live your hairstyle! I have a difficult time finding a happy medium between slightly lifted hair yet not flat! 😞. You’ve nailed it! Thumbs up! Can you give alittle insight on your hair regimen please?
