Handbag Trends for Spring 2021

Happy Monday, ladies! I’m ready for a new week, and today, I’m sharing some handbag trends for spring. There’s something for everyone with these trends.

I recently purchased this camera bag from Madewell; I personalized it, so I haven’t received it yet, but I think it will be perfect for spring and summer. I can also change the strap, which is definitely on trend this year.

Oversized Handbags-

Last year, mini bags; this year, the bigger, the better. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Clutches are never out of style, but this year they’re having a moment.

Highlighter Colors-

Add a pop of color to your outfit with bright yellow, green, blue, and orange.

Straw and Rattan handbags-

These have been popular for several seasons, and they’re not going anywhere.

We wear crossbody bags all the time, and they’re still popular, but dainty purses worn as necklaces or delicately draped across the chest are trending.

Chunky Chains-

Chains are popular right now; I saw these bags everywhere. Chains are also popular on shoes.

What do you think about this year’s handbag trends?

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on FacebookPinterest, and Instagram.

My identity is in Jesus and what he has done for me.
My value lies in Jesus and what he has done for me.
My worth lies in Jesus and what he has done for me.
I am not my mistakes.
I am not my failures.
I am not my past.
I am who God says I am.
I can do what God says I can do. -Christine Caine

  1. You did not leave information for the non cross over taupe colored bag, first picture, middle row, center. Do you have purchasing information for this?

  2. These trends seem pretty mild and I have quite a few of them ; although I’m not big into the colored handbags. It can tend to incorporate too many colors into our outfit and might throw things off if we’re not careful. Jo-Lynne had a great post today about the 3 color rule or suggestion 😉. Still loving my rattan purse for the summer!

    1. I’ve been in search for a new purse for spring and not seeing anything I like. I don’t carry big bags and have to have a side pocket for easy access to keys and phone. I’m leaning towards the Jcrew bag. Thanks for this timely post.

  3. I love the color bag trend. the powder blue dumpling bag is in my cart!!!!
So looking forward to Spring!!! thanks for the inspiration

  4. -I don’t carry big bags anymore
-clutches don’t carry enough so only for evening
-just donated three straw because I wasn’t using them
-highlighter coloured bags would be fun for a teenager but not for a mature women
-Crossbody chest bags look silly hung over your chest
***I do love chain bags and purses with the wide coloured straps
    I love seeing what’s trending.

    1. I agree, Joanna!! I only carry a simple cross-body that is big enough for necessities but does not overwhelm my 5’3″ frame.

  5. Looking for a nude medium size for Spring. I don’t like to change my purse out often so usually go for neutrals. Wish the Madwell came in nude. Looks like good size for camera bag. I don’t tend to use cognac in the Spring. Looking forward to see how you will.

  6. Great post Cyndi! I am a satchel and tote bag kind of gal, but I have to have order inside, so that I can get what I need without looking. And I want to tell you how much we love the Five Ingredient Peanut Butter Protein Bites. They are so easy to make and yummy. I made smaller balls so that we would have more of them to enjoy.
