He’s A Good Good Father

He's A Good Good FatherWhen I was thinking about what to write for Father’s day, I couldn’t help but think about how difficult today is for those who have lost their fathers.

I can relate because I know how difficult Mother’s day is for me. So I want you to know if you have lost your father, I am praying for you today.

I hope you know that you have a heavenly father that loves you very much! He’s a Good Good Father.

Have a blessed Father’s Day!

  1. I list my father almost 5 years ago unexpectedly and so didn’t get to say my “goodbyes” so I have been overwhelmed at times with regret. So several days a year it’s evenue more difficult for me.

But … I am also comforted in lowing oe day I will see hm again and will be able to hug him and tell him how much I live him and he much he means to me. 🙂

Thankful that I have another Father that takes care of all my needs.

    God bless everyone.

    1. It’s one of the most difficult times, losing a parent.

I have regret too. The night before my Grandma died she was anxious about the water all around and pacing the cottage floor. I was the last person to see her. It was just her and I alone that evening. I wish I said let’s play cards rather than thinking “Grandma”!
She had heart failure during the night.

      Sorry for your loss.

  2. If your church records services (or if you record him) I hope you’ll post the link so we can also hear your nephew.

  3. Thank you cyndi for being a blessing in my life! I am always uplifted by your messages. My daddy went to be with his Father 15 years ago, and this year his birthday is also today, so missing him is twice as hard today. Have a faith filled day.

  4. We sang this at church too! One of my favorites!! Beautiful. My dads been gone for 4 years now. But I have complete peace with it. We had a great relationship and he loved Jesus. He lived a long 87 years and his last 9 months were very difficult. I’m so grateful he’s with our Savior! Thx for sharing Cyndi. I’d love to hear Jonathan sing this song too 😉

  5. Cyndi, I am right along with Lisa D. and her comments. My dad’s been gone for 12 years now. But I have complete peace with it. I felt that peace the minute he passed away. The last five years of his life were very difficult. I’m so grateful he’s with our Savior…healthy and whole again. He was the best daddy…..always loving, respecting and supporting me. I was a lucky girl.

  6. Cyndi,

We lost our 23-year old son on March 12th when he was called HOME. Father’s Day (and Mother’s Day and …..) is very difficult. God is showering us with His grace as we trudge through this indescribable grief. We trust in Him to provide our every need. Thank you for remembering. And for your prayers.

    In His Grip.

    1. I wanted to respond to Michele’s comment on losing her son. I too lost my 19 year old son last year and the grief is relentless and so painful especially on holidays. Please know that God holds us especially close to him and it is his promises of eternal life that gives us strengh . I just wanted you to know that your feelings were acknowledged and I understand how difficult Fathers Day and everyday is for you. Blessings

    2. The only way I could cope was with Jesus at my side when our Son went home. The pain was lessened because I knew where he went, home to be with Jesus. I suffered grief for many years at Easter which was the time he died. His Birthday. And His going home day were the same 11th April . A wonderful man of God prayed for me for this many years after. The grief went and I have not suffered since. Pain in memories sometimes but not grief any more. Praise God for this. Praying for you xxxxx

  7. This song is so beautiful. I first heard it at a women’s retreat and it was a very special worship day for us. Thank you for sharing. Last Father’s day My three kids, husband and I were all baptized. I guess it has been a year! We thought that would be a great Father’s day gift to Jesus, our true Father. xo
