Hiking Must-Haves with Backcountry

This post is sponsored by Backcountry and Shopstyle Collective. All opinions & selections are my own.

As most of you know, we purchased an RV this year, and I’m so excited to travel across the country over the next few years. One of the things we love to do is get outside and hike, and that’s why I’m so glad to be partnering with Backcountry.

They encourage us to get outside and find our backcountry, wherever that may be. You can use code CYNDISPIVEY15 for 15% off your first purchase if you’re a new customer (exclusions apply).

Backcountry has 24/7 customer service (via chat, email, and phone) with hundreds of gearheads who are there to help you find exactly what you need for your next adventure or activity.

They are former Olympians, athletes, and guides who have a ton of expertise and knowledge and can steer you towards the best gear for your needs, as well as process exchanges & returns and provide updates on order status.

Backcountry is a great retailer for all of our active and outdoor lifestyle wear. If you love being outside, hiking, camping, or just wearing stylish & comfortable outdoor apparel, you will love their products!

They carry some of my favorites brands like Patagonia, North Face, and Marmot.

My husband loves to fish, and Backcountry makes it easy to shop for exactly what he’ll need! Their traveling category has me thinking about all the things I need for the rest of our RV trips.

I was so excited to get this Osprey backpack with the hydration reservoir. No more lugging water bottles.

  1. Such a cute hiking look! We don’t often see your hair in a ponytail looks cute! I’m getting back to playing tennis this year! I don’t mind walks /hiking but I worry about ticks 🤦‍♀️..

    1. Yes, be careful for ticks. I never thought of them until my naturopath got one in her head. She was very sick for years. Even caused dementia type symptoms and daily headaches. Took her years to get healed. She got Lyme disease. She told me to never go hiking if you don’t have some type of repellent and long pants and no way your legs can be contacted etc etc. I’m like Cyndi. if it’s Summer and light hiking I like shorts.

  2. Would you really hike in shorts? I think I would be so scratched up if I did that. I’m not a big hiker, but I would enjoy it if I had time, I think.

  3. Wow a creek in your backyard! Looks wonderful. I tend to wear longer pants for hikes especially if I’m not familiar with the area. You look very cute in that outfit.

  4. You look so cute and young with your hair in a pony tail that I thought it was your daughter!! I was told to always wear a hat when hiking which helps against ticks! I love hiking!!
