It was a little warm to add my scarf to my outfit so I tied it to my bag. When the weather turns cool, I’ll wrap it around my neck.  My leather handbag is by Madewell and it’s perfect for an everyday bag.

  1. We’re having some unseasonal cooler temps in TN right now which is making me anxious for fall :). I even told my husband over the weekend I was ready to put the fall wreath on our front door. I’m getting tired of all my summer clothes and looking forward to fall.

  2. Love your bag. Just bought hr same one. I travel for work a lot and it’s the perfect size. Have a blessed day.

  3. Oh I absolutely love this look. I definitely need a statement necklace!! one in gold and one in silver. and I do need a new tote style purse for the fall. I added some cross body purses last year. Much easier to carry and easier on the shoulders lol. The scarf on the bag is a nice touch. We are still getting the summer temps but the evenings are starting to cool down. So this outfit will be soon happening. Thanks for sharing. Love and Prayers go out to Texas.

  4. Love this outfit Cyndi! I like the idea of tying your scarf to your bag. It is cool here in the mornings, but hot again by the time I go home from work, so this would work for me. So pumped about your fall series with Jo-Lynne! 🙂

  5. Happy Monday!

I love scarves but it has to be really cool before I can wear one…….love the idea of putting it on the purse.

    Have a great day!

  6. I picked up a cognac crossbody bag last week on sale but not sure about the color. I’m totally not a brown person! But I do love the style of the bag and that the inside is not lined in black material. Seeing your outfit with cognac bag is making me rethink returning it. Does cognac go with black/grey shoes? I don’t wear warm colors at all… I’m a “cool”. Let me know what you think!

    1. Hey Carrie. I wear cognac with so much. I have a purse, booties and sandals this color and it goes with so much….black, dark greens(forest or teals) and my favorite is navy. There is so much navy out there with cognac mixed with it. I’m the same as you. I don’t wear a lot of warm colors, but so surprised how often I grab my accessories this color. I don’t like it with grey though.

      1. Hi Carrie,
I bought a cognac crossbody purse in the spring and for one you can use this color bag all year long. I would say it goes with just about anything although I haven’t seen it with grey. However I think you can get some leopard print with a tad of grey running through it as well as the browns so in that case I think you could get away with it. But yeah… great color to go with pretty much everything. I love mine and will certainly get my moneys worth out of it.

  7. Great ideas Cyndi! Thank you for sharing that Nordstrom has different price points because that name has $$$ all around it, in my mind. Like you, I am praying for TX and all of the first responders.

    God bless!

  8. It’s amazing how accessories amp up an outfit! I like the idea of tying a scarf to your bag. Thanks for the inspiration, Cyndi!

  9. Love your post! Would also love to see how you would take the same outfit and accessorize it differently to show the versatility in how you style outfits. It is so easy to stay with one thing that works and not get out of the routine and even consider other options. You are a blessing!

  10. You are SO right about accessories making the outfit! I just love that handbag! Very professional looking, but also looks appropriate with casual outfits. Great look, Cyndi.

  11. Here it is cool in the shade and warm in the sun. Looking forward to a beautiful fall. You have inspired me , I may get out my scarves today. Prayers for Texas. It puts my problems to shame.

  12. Love that too. I started to use some of my polyester and acrylic scarves that do not feel good around my neck as purse scarves. Like the leopard idea.

  13. After I read this, I went and changed from my white purse to my cognac one. Your outfit is simple yet you look so put together.

  14. I think we all are ready for Fall. 🙂 Love the look Cyndi. I have seen so many of the little silk scarves tied on purses lately. I just got one at Express so cheap and love it but haven’t tied on my purse yet. Its been too hot also to wear, but not long and it will be perfect for Fall. I’m looking forward to your Fall series to come. So fun. I better start saving my pennies now. Ha Ha

  15. I’m really liking your longer hair. Are you still styling it the same as when you did your last styling video? Also, thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers for us Texans.
