Life Is Full Of Seasons

Life is full of seasons. Some are joyous and some are difficult. Whatever season you’re in, Nehemiah 8:10 is a good verse to remember, The Joy of the Lord is your Strength. We are never in a season without Jesus.

This quote by Beth Moore was written for young girls, but I think it can pertain to any stage in life.

Just like the four seasons come and go, so will different seasons of life come and go. Don’t despair! “This too shall pass.” is true in both sweet and bitter seasons of life.

While you don’t need to wish any of it away, remember to savor the sweet seasons, take the joy when it comes and stay faithful during the bitter seasons.

Worship in the good times and bad. Jesus will be faithful over and over and over again. It’s in the valleys that God develops your character.

Life is full of seasons and some are easier than others but all of them have a purpose and God’s building your character.

What season are you in right now? Are you allowing God to build your character?

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. The season of “even children get older…and I’m getting older, too”. My 3 sons are the loves of my life-while one is beginning his first year of pt school, my middle son will be a senior, and my baby boy will be in 7th grade…one step closer to an empty nest which hurts my heart-not to mention I am about to turn 50. I know there are so many more reasons to be sad, but this is on my heart tonight. Thank you for the inspiration…may I always find joy in the journey!

  2. Beautiful song and performance, thank you for sharing. What a nice reminder that even on the mountains we didn’t get here on our own and we should praise Him who sits on the throne. I had a mountaintop weekend with family, I praise Him for this.

  3. Cyndi, Thank you so much for sharing with the world thru Grace and Beauty. You are beautiful inside and out. Today’s blog is just what I needed. I’ve had a lot of hills and valleys in the past years just as many other have. Thank God for His faithfulness. He always carries me thru the storms.

  4. One of my favorite songs right now. I love hearing it on my way to work. Work is a season that has been on my mind a lot lately – at 53 retirement has been entering my thoughts but I know that will be many years away unfortunately. Oh well.

  5. Oh, how I love this song! I just downloaded it from iTunes a couple days ago. It speaks to me like no song has for a long time. I am so grateful to God that he is with me- down in the valleys and up on the hills. Praise His name! So thankful that I, indeed, am not alone. He will be with me until the day I enter his presence.

  6. I’m in a season of loss and loneliness. Bitterness and resentment are crouching at the door. I have not heard this song, but it is just what I needed. This is an answer to my fervent prayers last night that God would help me overcome specific feelings of resentment. What a great song to focus on and a great truth. Thank you!

    1. I trust God to bless you today, Rebecca…my heart ached when I read your reply. I don’t know you but you’re my sister and I feel your hurt and resentment. Let the Father replace it with pure love ❤️

      1. Thank you, Traci. I received notice of your reply that day and treasured it in my heart. It gave me strength to know you were standing with me in this spiritual battle. Your kindness and sweet words helped keep my heart soft! – Rebecca

        1. ❤️ Continued loving prayers, and support, being prayed for you, friend…God sees the Big Picture ❤️

      1. Your prayers were much appreciated and helped to give me strength. Knowing sisters I haven’t met yet were praying for me encouraged me to trust God with every feeling and temptation! Thank you! – Rebecca

    2. Lifting you up in prayer Rebecca! May you feel the mighty hands of our Lord Jesus Christ saving you from all negative thoughts, and compelling you to carry on. As your Sister In Christ, I’m here to help.

      1. Thank you for your kindness. The Lord is our help and sometimes from the most unexpected places, isn’t He? The kindness of your readers and yourself really helped me to focus on the Lord’s work in this situation and not on the situation itself. It is still a battle, but has been reduced to more of a skirmish and I feel free to trust God through it, where that day I did not. Thank you for listening to the Holy Spirit and posting that day. It was at least in part for me :-).

  7. This bible verse is one of my very favorites. My 91 year old mother in law passed away in March and we have been cleaning out her house. The past few months have been especially hard on my husband but we know that the Lord never leaves us and will provide the strength to endure this valley. Thank you so much for all that you do to inspire us to be our very best.

  8. Amen to character building during the valleys seasons! Since my breast cancer diagnosis 2 months ago, I have been reminded of all the ways God has been preparing me for this season. I have never felt closer to him, more loved by him or more confident that he loves me. Yes, the “what-ifs” creep in but God is quick to come to my side. And the preciousness of my family and friends is a gift I cherish daily. Thank you for this verse and message, Cyndi!
