Save vs. Splurge-February 2019

Happy hump day! Today I’ve got a Save vs. Splurge post for you, and it’s all about spring shoes. I have been looking at lots of different shoes for my spring series, and I noticed Target had knock-offs of most of the on-trend shoes for spring.

I think it’s fun to look at the different price points. There might be a pair that you want to spend a little more on but if you’re going to buy several pairs of spring shoes, it’s nice to have some less expensive options.

Also, there were more I could have added but so many of the Target shoes were already out of stock online. Women are definitely shopping for spring shoes!

Beauty For The Heart~~I have shared this quote before but it’s good enough to share again!

What you and I might rate as an absolute disaster, God may rate as a pimple-level problem that will pass. He views your life the way you view a movie after you’ve read the book.

When something bad happens, you feel the air sucked out of the theater. Everyone else gasps at the crisis on the screen. Not you. Why? You’ve read the book. You know how the good guy gets out of the tight spot.

God views your life with the same confidence. He’s not only read your story…he wrote it. -Max Lucado

Have a blessed day!

  1. I would love to see a whole week of resort/ vacation wear please ! I live in the far north and usually take a warm weather vacation in March . This year is Hawaii ! Thanks

  2. Love theses splurge vs. save posts. I agree there are some shoes I’ll splurge on if wearing a lot and some I’ll save… can’t wait to start looking and buying for spring and summer. We have our daughter’s wedding the end of May so no big get aways for us this year.. just some small get aways… too busy for much else. Today pretty much all is shut down due to snow and freezing rain so hard to even think spring lol.

  3. I love these kinds of posts as well. It’s funny….on several of these, I like the ‘Save’ version better! I’m really easy on shoes and I typically get tired of them before I wear them out so I would be opting for the ‘Save’.

No big vacation for us this year, two daughters in college. However, we will be camping and will likely take a week long camping to one of the Kentucky State Parks. Since the girls enjoy the water and sun, it will likely be a lake.

  4. I love these posts! And I have to admit Target knocked it out of the park this spring….I like the Target ones almost better than the expensive ones!
And for trendy why not pay less cuz you know you won’t be wearing them in another year or two! There will be something more trendy by then! 😉

  5. I am also cruising the southern Caribbean March 10-17? Are those your dates! Can’t wait for your spring vacation posts! I have no idea what to pack 🤪

  6. Happy Hump Day!

I’m going on a cruise to the Bahamas on March 11th and would love to see some outfits for warm weather in your series coming up.

    Have a great day!

  7. Wow, isn’t that something? They look almost identical 🙂 I love shopping shoes at Target. I find a lot of Michael Kors and name brand shoes at TJ Maxx & Ross also. Although it’s hit or miss there. I’m excited to see your new spring looks! I live in AZ so spring comes quick for us. Have a blessed day!

  8. Loving all things animal print, I immediately jumped online and ordered the Target Leopard print mules. I usually like to try on before I buy but feared they would sell out of my size before I got to a nearby Target. I agree, Target outdid themselves and I like theirs much better than the competitors.

    Happy sailing!

  9. Hi Cyndi! My husband and I are cruising to the Southern Caribbean in early April, so yes, please share some of the outfits you will be wearing on your cruise! I would love to see your suggestions for formal night or in my case, “elegant-chic” attire. Thanks for sharing your post. Target is one of my favorite places to shop for shoes!

    Have a great day!

  10. Love all the shoes! Just ordered the Leopard Mules! Can’t wait to see what outfits you style on the cruise. I’ve been to the Caribbean several times and always enjoy it. Hope you guys have a wonderful time!

  11. We head to St Thomas in 69 days, Lordy, I can’t wait. I need some sun, warmth, sand, and the ocean. I can’t wait to see your vaca outfits.

    Enjoy your vaca!

  12. Love these posts of save vs splurge. We are going on a river boat cruise in Europe in April. Would love to see your cruise line choices.

  13. Yes, would love to see resort wear. Flying to Hawaii in 1 week – can not wait! Not big on tropical print patterns…. Feels too much like a MuuMuu!😂 Counting down the days. The Target leopard print shoes are a catch! Have a fab vacay!!

  14. We will be attending a destination wedding in St. Lucia in May. I would love to see vacation clothes in your post! Also any ideas on what to wear to a destination wedding? 🤷‍♀️

  15. We have just returned from the Caribbean and always sail late January to celebrate our anniversary; if we can swing another one, we do! I keep a Pinterest board for cruise wear and rarely purchase summer clothes unless it would serve me in a tropical-cruise kind of way.
Always enjoy new ideas. Happy Sailing!
