Sunday Inspiration-Just As I Am

Last week I said I wanted to share about how I let my past sins define me and how I’ve had a hard time forgiving myself.

Just mentioning that, I received several emails. Some of you have had a hard time with past sins. (To be honest, I’m sure some reading this are not dealing with just past sins but may be dealing with something right now.)

Thankfully, God is waiting to forgive us, and he wants us to live victoriously. I’m not defined by my past sins and neither are you.

Sunday Inspiration-Just As I Am

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1 (NIV)

We’re all broken and wounded. That’s why we need a Savior. We’re guilty but because of His sacrifice we’re pardoned.

This song is a newer version of Just As I Am and I love the chorus.

I come broken to be mended
I come wounded to be healed
I come desperate to be rescued
I come empty to be filled
I come guilty to be pardoned
By the blood of Christ the Lamb
And I’m welcomed with open arms
Praise God, just as I am

Have a blessed Sunday!

  1. Good Lord’s Day Cyndi! We ALL need to hear this! I don’t understand the why to it but for some reason some of us tend to be more unforgiving with ourselves than others. For some of us, forgiving ourselves is the hardest thing to do. I guess it must be part of our personality or something, I don’t know. But I went most of my life carrying guilt over things in my life whether they were my doing/ choice or not. If that “thing” affected me then I carried the guilt. Truly letting that guilt go and turning it over to Jesus is so easy but yet SO HARD. Again, I do not know why. But I have to remind myself that Jesus died one time for my sins and he doesn’t have to die for them over and over again. His forgiveness and grace is just more awesome than I can comprehend. Yet it is true. He died on that cross that we all may have forgiveness of our sins and live life fully IN HIM. Forgiving ourselves; loving ourselves; can be the hardest thing of all for many of us. So it is so good to have Christian Sisters there to encourage and remind us along life’s way. Thank you Cyndi. God Bless.

  2. this arrangement of this old hymn was sung in our services this am. thank you once more for such truth. Teresa said it all so well from this Christian sister/reader.

  3. This was a message I needed to hear and hope is true. I thank you … And will give it much thought
