Wardrobe Refresh: 10 Spring Essentials

Happy hump day! It’s time to start thinking about spring essentials. While winter demands heavy wool coats and cozy turtlenecks, spring ushers in essentials like short sleeve blouses, and white jeans.

The time for spring clothes is coming soon, so here’s a refresher for spring 2021! These essentials will give you enough outfit ideas to build a spring wardrobe.

  1. Your Steve Madden sneakers are very white in the picture, but the pair shown on the website is very worn-looking. Did yours come white?

    1. Kim, If you don’t want worn look and a cute white sneaker similar, I bought the Morrison Naturalizer one and its very comfortable and cute. I haven’t got to wear them outside yet…..weather to messy. I got mine on sale for $62, but not sure how often they have a sale. They come in other colors too. They usually have a pop up if you sign up for emails you get $10 code. So they are originally $89, so you’d get them for $79. Hope this helps. They also sell them on Macy’s.com or they did Jan.

  2. I’m curious about how many blue denim jackets you own. I see you in them often on your blog. Today you’re wearing the Evereve, and yesterday you said you liked the Chico’s jacket. I’ve also seen you wear jackets frp, Gap and Kut from the Kloth. I have several in different colors (blue, white, grey, pink). Denim jackets draw me in like a magnet (as does anything in leopard print or camo print), so I often have to make myself say “no”. Thanks for your blog! It is one of daily rituals. 🙂

    1. Hey Erin, I do have several different ones but that’s because of this being my job. If I weren’t a blogger I might not have as many but I have them from different stores and different price points. I hope that makes sense!

  3. Well according to this list I am in pretty good shape for the essentials. I just bought the Tarte shape Tape during their sale and really like it so far….
    Have a good day

    1. I’ve never ordered from Annie Cloth, but I can tell you that site has MULTIPLE, NUMEROUS pop ups in every blogger that I follow. I did accidentally clink on their link once, and see a few postings where purchasers stated the quality was extremely poor, it took forever to receive or they never received but were charged (it may come from overseas) etc. I’d stay away … I did the EXACT same click on a very similar site in November of 2019, and wow … it took 6 weeks to get the coat, and it was such poor quality it went straight to goodwill … a complete waste of $49.95 …

  4. I really enjoyed your blog today where you showed us your spring essentials. But what I really thought was helpful was the 3 or more brands that you could purchase from below each picture. That made it easy to compare price points and I loved that you placed them under your picture explanation instead of at the bottom of your blog. Keep inspiring the older generation with your style, products and love for the Lord.

  5. Hi Cyndi!

    Love your posts!

I never want to wish my life away but where we live the winters are long so about this time of year I’m looking forward to Spring.

I have a nice pair of white Addis sneakers. What is the best way to clean them? I’m sure there is a leather shoe cleaner out there but which one? And will it clean the stitching?

    Thanks for your advice.

  6. Just a suggestion, instead of telling us the size you wear, it would be nice to know if you had to size up or down for the proper fitting. Since most stores have closed their fitting rooms, it would be nice to be able to order the right size.

  7. I enjoy seeing all of your posts. Because of you, I have become a little more fashion conscience. I appreciate all the beautiful clothes, accessories, shoes, etc. that you model. It helps seeing you wearing them.

  8. It is beautiful in Savannah today. Meeting my daughter for lunch outside on dock. My rule for white jeans is March-Oct. Just because I wear so much in summer I need a break. Look forward to your blog with JoLynne.

  9. all the looks are adorable!!!! Wonder if you might recommend a mid rise white jean for spring (Mid price range)?? I’m so long waisted the high rise don’t work so well for my body shape!!! Thanks a million!!

  10. PS. I just ordered the pale pink blazer you styled yesterday. I ordered both the XS and Small to see best fit. Thanks. Can’t wait to see it.

  11. I’m ready for Spring too! I was glad to see you are not giving up skinny jeans. They are my wardrobe staple right now, and those baggy jeans they are showing just look ridiculous on me! (Flat butt syndrome, lol!)
I like straight legs and boot cut, but I really hope skinny jeans stick around.

  12. I love denim jackets! I wear mine a lot during the year, too. I enjoy timeless pieces like that which you can mix and match with many different outfits! I realy enjoy your posts, Cyndi!

    1. Love your Spring Picks! Simple denim jacket goes with everything. I LOVE all of your picks, tips & styling tricks!
As I reinvent myself, finding you has inspired me to embrace my style!
      Thanks Cyndi😊

  13. Got your email today and I’m loving the new format. Nice to know I have pretty much all the spring essentials! Now I just need the weather to wear them lol

  14. You wear skinny jeans really well, but since the style for spring may be the straight type jeans, do you think you will keep showing the skinny jeans?

  15. Very excited for denim jacket weather, and it shouldn’t be too much longer to wait here in SC. I also like a utility jacket for spring. Just bought a super cute one on TJ Maxx website and can’t wait to wear it with some crops and white tennis shoes! You new email format looks great!

  16. Hi Cyndi. Just saw you had responded to me but I didnt get an email. I know you wanted to know if we do or don’t. I just happened to be reading others comments and saw you had. Thanks. Glad I ordered the XS too. Almost didn’t.

  17. Wow! There must have been a huge run on the Loft’s floral puff-sleeve top, because it is sold OUT, darn it. Really cute; good choice. (Your hair is SO long! With thick, naturally wavy/curly hair, do you have any trouble with styling it or keeping frizzies at bay, Cyndi?). Thanks and blessings always.♥️✝️
