Winter Try-On

Happy hump day! Today I’m sharing a winter try-on with some options for the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday. I love wearing pink, so I don’t have to have a holiday to wear that pretty color.

Winter Try-On

I’m keeping it casual with this oversized sweater. It’s great with leggings for a relaxed and comfortable look.

Oversized Sweater (small) / Leggings (small) / Sneakers

I love a puffer jacket, and this one is warm and has some sherpa too! I’m wearing the blush color, but it comes in several more colors, including black.

I wear this crop-style hoodie to the gym with my leggings.

Drawstring Hoodie (small) / Vuori Tank (small) / Leggings (small) / Sneakers

An oversized tunic, that’s a free people knockoff.

Babydoll Tunic (small) / Mother Jeans (28) / Booties

I am getting ready for Valentine’s Day with this outfit. This pretty sweater is from Amazon, and I added some heart earrings from J.Crew Factory.

Such a pretty pink sweater from Avara. It has puff sleeves and pom pom hearts.

This pretty blouse is fully lined with ruffles on the shoulders and sleeves. It’s definitely work-appropriate!

This gingham sweater will easily transition to spring with white pants or jeans.

I love mixing red and pink, and this lightweight sweater looks great with denim and sneakers.

Beauty For the Heart™ So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. Matthew 7:11

Truth: Jesus is showing us his Father’s heart. God is not selfish or stingy. He wants to comfort and care for us. If we as humans can be kind, imagine how kind God, the creator of kindness, can be.

  1. Thank you so much for your ideas, recommendations and Biblical encouragement. I truly enjoy you and have learned so much in your emails. May God bless you and yours.

  2. I love when you do posts like this with multiple outfit options. I feel like there’s something for everyone and it reminds me why I started following you. It seems like most of the posts now are multiple pictures of one outfit which is very limiting

    1. The Mother jeans link is wrong. It takes me to a Good American pant.
I really like the Free People knock off but worry that it’s poorly made.

  3. Great post. I love ones with multiple options. I’ve never purchased jeans from Avara. Do they run true to size and hold their shape? I like how they aren’t too wide but look more updated than skinnies. Thanks for discount code.

    1. I’m usually a 27 or 28 and I wear a 27 in these jeans. they hold their shape pretty good. I wear them all the time. They are one of their best sellers!

  4. PS. Are you keeping any of these items? I love the New Balance sneakers. The black really pops. The first outfit is so me at home. I have a tunic just like it in similar color. Think now I need the sneakers. :). Thanks.

  5. Ice selection of tops for Valentines Day. Love the pink sweater with hearts. I think you styled one much like it from Amazon. I tried to order the jeans from Avara but sold out in most sizes.

  6. You are looking beautiful in all your winter clothes!! Love the pinks. I like to pair them with blue jeans and grey boot shoes. There are soooo many different ways to pair solid colors. I live in jeans for work and leisure. I’m a Daniel Boone Transit driver so I dress comfy, yet on trend with a little sexy thrown in. LoL 😂 I get a lot of my clothes color pairing from you. Thank you Cyndi S.

  7. I really enjoyed this post. The free people knockoff tunic is so cute, and I noticed that it comes in a ton of colors! And the gingham sweater is calling my name.
I also enjoyed yesterday’s Q&A post. I have a question for a future Q&A (or for now). I’ve never really tried looking on my own for clothing on Amazon. I’ve always thought that there are probably just too many items out there, some good and some not, and I might never see what I’m looking for. I’m sure it’s a lot of trial and error, but how do I avoid the “error” part? Do you start with a specific style in mind? Do you just browse and browse?

  8. That pink gingham is precious. Love the pink pompom sweater, too. Found Valentine sweater at Versona that I am looking forward to wearing. And bought a necklace to go with it that reminds me of one I had for a Christmas formal in high school.

A few weeks ago you featured a sweater that I thought was orange and white. I realized later it was pink and orange. I absolutely love it but can’t remember where you found it. Do you know the one I am thinking of?
