Simply Sunday……Whiter than Snow

I woke up this morning to snow! It’s amazing how the first snow of the season looks so white, so pure,  and so clean. I’m reminded of  Isaiah 1:18, ” Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”

This was a hard verse for me to grasp. Could God really forgive me of all my past sins and could I really be washed white as snow? Here is my testimony of grace.

When Wayne and I were dating he reminded me of Isaiah 1:18 often. Since I was divorced I had a hard time accepting God’s forgiveness.

One thing Wayne wanted was to have our wedding in the church but I felt we should elope and just get married privately. Not Wayne, he was not ashamed of me…..I was his bride, the one he had waited for. He reminded me over and over again that I had been washed whiter than snow

I had asked for God’s forgiveness………I just needed to accept it.

I love 2 Corinthians 12:9, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Today, maybe you need to know that no matter what you have done in your past, Christ can and will forgive you and you too can be washed whiter than snow

Walking in His Grace,
