A few weeks ago I received my Southern Living magazine and found a picture that caught my eye (no it wasn’t the dog that caught my eye).
It’s the colors and those adorable end tables!
Well, I don’t have a porch like that but I do have a bonus room upstairs
(my Dad used our bonus room and he recently married and moved out ).
Here’s some pictures I took after he left…………….
Don’t you love that I left the ironing board out when I took the pictures. 🙂
I’m going to try to make it brighter and I’d like to use the greens and blues like the picture from Southern Living.
I decided to start with an end table that I already have. It’s different than the ones in the picture but I think it will work.
I used the same paint colors from the magazine. It was Jalapeno Jelly by Valspar from Lowe’s.
I took the color swatch and went to Sherwin Williams because I get a discount.
I also used Alabaster from Sherwin Williams for the bottom part of the table.
I think I’m going to like it!
Here it is in my upstairs bonus room now. Unfortunately, I have nothing blue to add to my room yet. 🙁
It turned out pretty good…………….

Walking in His Grace,
I love it, Cyndi! You know I love blue and green. . . I think this table turned out just great! I need to start getting inspiration from magazines again. I haven’t picked up a paper magazine in a while, which is a shame. Need to get the juices flowing!
Cyndi! I love it! I really love that jalapeno jelly color! Gonna tweet it. 🙂
Love the table! I recently painted my laundry room in a green color and have really enjoy it.
I have followed your blog for a while now and have love reading your post. I decided to to jump in and started my own blog. Would love for you to visit!

Love it. So cute.
I’d say your bonus room is off to a great start!! Awesome job on that side table! I am always looking for pieces like that at Goodwill to refurbish into a fun color for my daughter’s room, or just restained for the living room or dining room… so much fun!!
Awesome! She looks so cute and the new color perks up the room.
Like this!!!
God bless,

It’s cute!
