Pour Out Your Heart to Him

Good Morning friends!

Today as I had my quiet time, I realized my prayer list is long.

I’m praying for broken marriages…….

For friends and family with health issues……….

For friends and family who are struggling on this

journey (and aren’t we all at some point)……..

Praying for the the devastation in Somalia ……………..

I want to do more, to fix all the problems and yet I know I can’t.

So I go to the only one who I know can help.

Jesus hears and He knows.

I wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation,

my fortress where I will not be shaken.

My salvation and my honor come from God alone.

He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.

O my people, trust in him at all times.

Pour out your heart to him,

for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:5-8 (NLV)

  1. Hi Cyndi,

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog and saying Hi – it’s so nice to connect with women who just love the Lord. I so appreciate your thoughts here with regards to the word and prayer. Life is overwhelming at times but the Word is filled with so much hope. Looking forwarding to visiting again.

  2. I have felt the same way this week about ALL the things going on around me that are discouraging. I am so comforted to know Jesus and know that nothing catches God by surprise. He is ever so capable of handling anything we face.

    Love this post!

  3. Hi Carolyn
Thank you so much for your sweet words of encouragement. My blog is a little of this and a little of that but I pray Jesus always shines through!
    Have a great week!
    BLessings,
    Cyndi

  4. Absolutely….in my own life right now, actually, and then with everything that is going on in the world, sometimes I have such a hard time with my faith. I don’t LOSE it..oh I don’t know.

Cyndi, I so love your blog. I am blessed beyond measure every single time I read it. Thank you for that. 🙂

  5. It is easy to fill overwhelmed with everything around us. I’m so thankful I can take my burdens to the Lord and let Him carry them.

  6. The song says, “Take your burdens to the cross and leave them there.” I don’t have a problem with taking them…it’s the leaving them that’s hard. So much pain everywhere. What do people do without God?

  7. I do feel overwhelmed at times. I had to make a tough decision yesterday because of this. God is faithful and I have complete trust in Him and his plans.
