Fall Fashion Trends Week-The Turtleneck

Happy Labor Day! I hope you’re enjoying your day. Since this is the unofficial start to the Fall season, I thought it would be fun to have a Fall Fashion Trends Week.

Today, we’re talking turtlenecks. Turtlenecks are timeless but this season it’s all about layering with them. (Some of you live in climates that stay warm all year so don’t worry some of the trends this week will be ones you can wear too.)

You can layer them under dresses, blouses, and button front shirts. You can also add them to your summer wardrobe to make it last through the fall season.

Truthfully, turtlenecks are always in my fall/winter wardrobe because their comfortable and warm. I love turtleneck weather!

Here’s a crisp white turtleneck that looks great under a navy blue dress.

You can never go wrong with black and this black turtleneck is perfect under this vintage jacket.

This season when the weather starts turning cooler instead of grabbing a sweater try adding a turtleneck. It’s a fall must have!

Do you wear turtlenecks when the weather starts turning cooler?

Beauty For the Heart~~I’m reading the book Out Live Your Life by Max Lucado. He’s reminding us of the legacy that we can leave and this is what he says:

“Here’s a salute to a long life: goodness that outlives the grave, love that outlasts the final breath. May you live in such a way that your death is just the beginning of your life.”

I couldn’t help but think of my Mom. Someone who knew my Mom recently left this message for me on facebook–

“I can’t imagine how many lives Wanda touched! She was just a blessing to anyone honored to meet her. She was a warrior for God, a humble lady and her heart WOW, precious and giving! You have such a legacy left for you, I know you miss her and your heart will always ache even as the years go by which is why I had to let you know that she won’t be forgotten, by me and many! Her imprint will never go away!”

I’m starting to see, my Mom’s death was just the beginning of her life. I want to leave that kind of legacy!

Have a blessed day!

  1. Kim I usually buy mine at TJMaxx. If I were going to spend more money, I would probably head to Banana Republic. But the comments left on here were Eddie Bauer and Lands End. I’m sure they’re both good.
    Have a great day!

  2. I wear turtlenecks almost exclusively in the Fall and Winter. I have them in ALL colors and can’t imagine what I’d wear if I didn’t have them!
