Alpha Hydrox Skin Care

I thought I would share the skin care I’m using right now, it’s Alpha Hydrox. One of you mentioned in a comment that you were using Alpha Hydrox and loved it, so I decided to try it.

Alpha Hydrox Skin Care

A few things about this product:

  • Alpha Hydrox skin care products have been featured on Oprah, Dr. Oz and numerous other national television programs because of their ability to actually improve your skin.
  • It gets great reviews from people who use it.
  • It’s very reasonably priced!

The glycolic alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) used in Alpha Hydrox products is clinically proven to be highly effective at helping to prevent and reverse the signs of skin’s aging.

Here’s my morning routine:

Alpha Hydrox cleanser, AHA Souffle (This burned a little when I first started using it, but it’s fine now.), Sheer Silk Moisturizer

Night time routine:

Alpha Hydrox cleanser, Retinol ResQ, Night Replenishing Cream

So far, I’m pleased with these products and I’m going to continue to use them.

For under my eyes, I’m using Bobbi Brown extra eye repair cream. This area was feeling dry and my concealer wasn’t going on very well so I started using this and I love it! I use it morning and night.

This eye cream is award winning and gets great reviews!! (five star)

Alpha Hydrox Skin Care

Have you tried any Alpha Hydrox products? Bobbi Brown eye repair cream? What products are you using?

Beauty For the Heart~~ I’ve been studying Proverbs 31:10-31 and one verse says, “She makes herself coverings; her clothing is fine linen and purple.”

A wife of noble character does spend a small amount of time on her appearance for her husband. I thought that was interesting. I love to look my best for Wayne.

Of course the rest of the verses focus on her kindness, godliness, hard work, and loving relationships. So what’s on the inside does matter! Let’s keep striving!

Have a blessed day!

  1. Cyndi, I just started using two products that I learned about on Facebook. Bellessse Anti-aging Eye Serum and Nouvebellle Anti-aging Face Cream. It was a promo that had appreared on the Rachel Ray Show talking about how this lady had used these 2 products (actually free samples) and had fantastic results. Of course the before and after photos were amazing!!! I ordered the free samples (still had to pay shipping) and they came very quickly. I’ve been using the products for about 2 weeks and I feel as though I’m seeing results. Especially around my eyes. I use the Eye Serum at night and the cream in the morning. Am anxious to see the long term results, but so far so good!!!! Just thought I would share what seems to be some reasonably priced products. Have a blessed day.

  2. I have a friend I haven’t seen since our children were in high school. She had the most beautiful skin. I asked her what she used on her skin and she told she used the Alpha Hydrox products. I made a mental note, but forgot all about it until now. I have sensitive skin and I wonder if the Alpha Hydrox might be too irritating. I would love to use the BB eye cream, but since my husband’s job was “eliminated”, so they say, my beauty budget has been cut severely and BB is no longer affordable for me. We are happy and are fortunate enough to be able to keep our home, car and go to the grocery store with ease. God’s plans are not man’s plans and we await to see what unfolds! A happy and blessed day to all of you!

  3. Hmm. That’s a tough question. I don’t think my face feels as smooth but I do think the Alpha Hydrox works as well. The big factor for me is price.

  5. PS to my last post. According to my dermatologist, she recommended using the Alpha Hydroxy in the morning and the Tretinoin/Retinol cream at night. Do not use at the same time.

  6. Curious how you feel how this compares to R&F I like them and have been using for about 6 months but I don’t like spending that much money each month:(

  7. I am over 60 and love your website for the “aging gracefully” woman! 🙂 I have used Alpha Hydroxy cream for several years now and feel it definitely does make a difference. I use it on my face and neck and on the top of my hands as well. You might also consider getting a prescription retinol cream like tretinoin which can be used at night. The prescription is a higher strength than the ResQ you mentioned. A 0.05 tube runs about $40, lasts 2- 3 months and is money well spent in my opinion. Your dermatologist can give you a prescription . I also use and love Bobbi Brown products, and I think her corrector and concealer are simply the best. I did use the BB eye repair cream too as the corrector and concealer go on much better, however it is very expensive. I found that Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair eye cream does the same and is significantly cheaper. Thanks so much for all of your fashion and beauty tips to help us all continue to age gracefully! Love your blog!

  8. I think I was one of the commenters who mentioned this line when you posted about the more expensive AHA product, so, yes, I have used it and liked it. I never use the cleanser as it seems to me it’s not going to stay on your skin long enough to do much. But the serums and creams I like, though I don’t use nearly as many products as you do. I’m impressed you can use the soufflé in the morning; it’s powerful. I have never used any Bobbi Brown products. Not sure her price point would fit my budget.

  9. I love your beauty for the heart! I love the Cetaphil cleanser and can’t imagine using anything else now. I’m using Olay anti aging eye cream. I use prescription retinol at night and Olay moisturizer that has sunscreen in it. I really want to use as few products as possible with the best results. My skin is very oily and that helps with fighting signs of aging but I now have droopy little jowls!
