Make No Mistake, He Knows My Name

Make No Mistake

We live in a world, where anyone can be famous in an instant! One video, one picture, one hashtag that goes viral and you could end up on the morning news. It might be temporary, but for a short time you could be famous.

Television shows like American Idol, The Voice, and America’s Got talent are looking to make someone famous.

I went to high school in a small, artsy town. It was a college town and many of my friends were apart of the local theatre. We had an outdoor drama production and I remember going there many times and seeing my friends on stage.

I realized at a young age, acting was not for me. When you get cast as a dogwood tree in the Easter production at church, you know you’re probably not the best actress.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve seen all the tragedy that goes along with being famous. Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber seemed innocent when they started out and now they are both a mess. Who would want that??

I’m sure many of you reading this are like me. You’re a Mom, a daughter, a sister, a grandmother, a wife.  You do “ordinary” things. You go to the grocery, you clean your house, you cook,  you go to work, you go to church etc.

Here’s what you need to know. You ARE famous, maybe not by worldly standards but you are famous in your Father’s eyes! He adores you and He knows YOUR name!

Do we need any more?  This post came from listening to this song. Every time I would hear it, I’d smile. It’s true, we’re adored!

Have a blessed day!!

  1. Thank you for posting this song! Everyone strives to feel significant. In this day of social media, it is possible to have an audience at any moment of the day, singing our songs, displaying our wisdom, entertaining with our humor. But we’re still not satisfied. The hole inside each one of us is never filled, and never will be until we choose to be satisfied that the only One who really matters knows our name. We are already famous with Him!

  2. I love this page I’m 47 but feel 20 but I don’t want to look like I’m trying to dress like I’m 20. Also I love the Lord and feels this page is inspirational to me when trying to age gracefully and still live my life in Christ.

  3. Love, love, love this. HE knows MY name. Amen! When I was diagnosed with M.S. 24 years ago, as I knelt at an altar to pray, God spoke to me so clearly and said, “Pam, I’m going to heal you.” And HE did! It wasn’t His words of miraculous healing that amazed me…but for the next 2 weeks I walked around in a “daze” muttering, “He knows my name! He knows MY name!” That’s been a long time ago and I’m still healed and He still knows my name. Thanks for letting me share this, Cyndi.
