28 Days of Spring Fashion (Day 9)

It’s Day 9 of my 28 Days of Spring Fashion. I’m taking a slight break from styling my 9 pieces from Target.

It’s close to the official first day of spring and although I can’t wear short sleeves and sandals yet, I can wear flats. It’s warm enough today to take off my boots and I couldn’t be happier!

Here is what I’m wearing today. This striped top is from the LOFT. I’m wearing the dark grey stripe but they have it in yellow and navy blue, in limited sizes.

I added my leopard print flats from Target. I treat my leopard flats like a neutral so I wear them with stripes.

My jeans are the Target skinny jeans. I wasn’t sure if I would like them but I do!

Do you all mix leopard print with stripes??

I know some of you asked for a tutorial on my messy bun from yesterday. I promise I will but I need to let it grow another inch or two.

My hair stylist did that messy bun for me but I don’t think I can do it yet. She did use spiral pins and I can’t wait to share those with you.

  1. Hello Cyndi,
Sorry for just commenting now, took a road trip for a couple of days with my hubby. Lexington is a huge busy place to shop and fairly easy to find three different doctors offices in three different sections of town!
Love your outfit!!! I’m glad you decided to switch it up with other pcs during your Target styles. I love you in this striped blouse and jeans… I love to wear the navy blues/whites together! While in Falmouth, (Falmouth is a home rule-class city and the county seat of Pendleton County, Kentucky) yesterday, We had a great over night visited with my brother in law and sister in law and her and I spent a great day shopping in little boutique stores in this quaint little town, much different then the big city of Lexington. But I did buy 4 new Spring pieces of clothing and a pair of sandals!!! God bless you and keep styling those beautiful outfits~I love the ideas!! 🙂

  2. Hi Cyndi,

I was happy to see you take a break from styling the target pieces. I know its a practical way to approach our wardrobe but I really like the inspiration you give us from a variety of outfits. I was starting to feel limited with the target pieces. Thanks for sharing your wonderful style with us!

  3. Hello Cyndi, I love all your cute outfits you put together. I was wondering what you think of white dresses for the spring/summer? I purchased a precious dress at Marshalls but now I’m unsure whether to keep it or return it. Thanks and have a wonderful day!

  4. Love the beauty for the heart today! I bought leopard flats this fall that are Dr Scholl’s, have gotten a lot of wear out of them. Love them with ankle length jeans, a solid sweater and a print scarf. Glad you are starting to thaw out!

  5. What a cute outfit today!! I love the stripes and leopard print flats together. Started to buy the flats not long ago, wasn’t to sure about the gold detail, but they look cute on you. Wish I could have liked the skinny jeans from Target. Happy to see your yard free of snow!!

  6. I just purchases that exact top from Loft two weeks ago and have already worn it a couple different ways. Tried it with camo pants (inspired by Pinterst told me to) and with my new army green utility jacket. Will try it with leopard flats and jeans now too! Thanks for all the great ideas. I look forward to your daily posts!

  7. You look so cute in that top Cyndi! I love the Loft and when they have their 50% they have great deals. I want to try the jeans from Target – they look great on you!

  8. Hi Cyndi. I have not worn leopard with stripes. But I like how you have done so with this outfit. Very cute. Thx for the idea 😉

  9. Cyndi..I like this outfit.l love the shoes with it, too. I am not a fan of the blazer or gray slacks you have been styling. I think there are other things you have styled that look like a better fit and quality. I look forward to your posts.

  10. I recently bought a pair of leopard flats to go with a particular outfit. Now I’m trying to figure out what else to wear them with. HELP!!! Leopard print was a stretch for me so I could use any adivce you have!

  11. Cyndi,
I have enjoyed all your outfits! Looks like the snow melted! I am learning to like flats, it has been an adjustment for me since I am 5’2, and just turned 56 yesterday.

  12. Hi Cyndi,
Love the outfit. I would love to see some spring dresses and skirts sometime too. I am trying to decide on what to wear to church and then a family reunion on Easter. You said you are letting your hair grow. What hairstyle have you picked? I am trying to decide on a new hairstyle too and my hair is a lot like yours. Thanks for all your postings and advice.God bless you.

  13. HI Cyndi,
Another super cute outfit! I love those flats as well, but do i really need another pair of leopard flats? Thanks for the tip on the spiral pins, I have a few sets of those. Maybe i’ll just try playing around with my hair. Let’s hope this gorgeous weather hangs around for a while.
