It’s hard to believe Memorial Weekend is just 2 weeks away! Of course that’s the unofficial start to summer so it’s time to look at our summer wardrobe.
Today I’m sharing some items to help Update Your Summer Wardrobe. None of us can wipe our wardrobe clean and start over but we can add a couple of pieces that will help us look like we are on trend. 🙂
1. Add pink lipcolor. I don’t change my makeup with every season, I stick to a basic, natural look. As we age, makeup trends such as cat eyes and dark lipsticks aren’t always flattering.
But this season, a pink pout is a trend we can wear! I like a subtle change like lip color. If you have pale skin, stick with pastel pinks but if you have darker skin, you can wear a neon pink color.
I’m so honored that you have taken time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’d love for you to subscribe to my blog through email. You can also follow me on social media. I’m on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest!
Beauty For the Heart~~I love this time of the year as the grass turns green and flowers start to bloom. It’s a breath of fresh air from all the cold and dreary winter weather. I love how God created the seasons and how we can see His beauty in nature!
We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass – grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls. -Mother Teresa
Have a blessed day!

I am especially appreciative of the lipstick tips…over the years I have accumulated a drawer full of various colors. I do agree that ‘natural’ is the way to go – I have been using your recommended “warm Me Up” and love it. It has a soft color that looks pretty and not “made up”, and, most importantly, I feel comfortable wearing it.
Thank you for all your tips and fashion advice!
Cyndi – LOVE your blog. THANKS for keeping us on trend – would love to see a post about what is “out” — I’m sure I wear things that are “out” and don’t realize it!
Love the ideas! I just bought a similar maxi dress, so now I know it has your special seal of approval! Happy Mother’s Day!!
Great summer suggestions! I, too, love a good pink lipstick. My newest favorite is Hue by MAC. It’s a nudey-pink and works if your eye makeup is a bit more dramatic. I’m now on the hunt for a bit brighter one to switch things up.
Have a great weekend!

I love summer clothes and those you showed are all great trends. I’m not sure anyone should be wearing neon lipstick, however, except maybe a nineteen year old. 🙂
Hi Cyndi – great ideas today. I always have loved light pink lipstick (I am very fair skinned and blond) so it’s been my “go to” for a long time, and especially as I ‘mature’ ? I also like adding pops of trends into my summer looks – works much better for most and keeps the costs reasonable! Have a wonderful weekend!!!
Great suggestions Cyndi thank you, I love your blog! Have a wonderful Mother’s Day.
Love the tassel shoes!! Have a Happy Mother’s Day!
Happy Mother’s Day Cyndi. Love the pink lipstick. I love hats, unfortunately I look terrible in them. I also love your mother Teresa quote .. Soooo true. In the busy paced life we all live, it’s so important to be still and hear the Lord. Always a great reminder, thank you!!
Love the bright pink lipstick! I’m dark so it works. Have a wonderful Mothers Day weekend friend!
