26 Days of Summer Fashion (Day 24)

It’s Day 24 of my 26 Days of Summer Fashion! I don’t think we can talk about summer fashion without mentioning summer hats.

What’s better on a hot summer day than wearing a fedora hat (Target calls it a Panama hat but they do have wide brim fedora hats so that’s what I call it)? With high humidity, this is a great way to hide a not so good hair day.

I styled it with a black sleeveless tank and my boyfriend jeans but any color top would look great with this hat.

I have the Ahh-Mazing lace shaper in black on underneath my tank top. It smooths and slims….thank you very much! It has a wide lace band around the top and wide lace straps. It is pretty amazing!

You can wear it as a layering piece under your favorite tops, or alone under your favorite cardi. (Make sure use code spivey10 for $10 off your total purchase! They have several colors available.)

I’m wearing this bar necklace from Baublebar. I have an S on mine for my last name.

In case some of you noticed, I took two Saturdays off in the month of June so that’s why my 26 Days of Summer Fashion is not ending today. 🙂 (26 days in June except Sundays, I don’t so fashion on Sunday’s.)

I’m just going to have to do 2 days in July! Hope you don’t mind!

I’m so glad you’re joining me on my 26 Days of Summer Fashion! Don’t miss a post, Subscribe to my blog through email. You can also follow me on social media. I’m on FacebookInstagram and Pinterest!

Beauty for the Heart~~God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. Ephesians 1:5

I’m so thankful that I’ve been adopted into God’s family! I’ve been thinking about adoption a lot lately because my sister and her husband are trying to adopt this sweet little girl. Our whole family is giddy!!!

I snapped this picture last night. We can only show the side of her face but this child has already stolen our hearts. If all goes as planned she will be a part of our family and let me tell you she could not ask for better parents than my sister and her husband. They love Jesus and they love to share His love with others. This little girl has no idea how blessed she will be.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Hi there, new to your blog this month. Just wanted to say as a 35 year old looking for some fashion inspiration, I’ve really enjoyed your summer looks. This outfit has to be me favorite so far! Love it! Looking forward to exploring many of your other posts!

  2. Hi Cyndi,
We have 2 children. I gave birth to our son, and 4 years later we adopted our daughter. Going through infertility treatments and the adoption process put us on the biggest roller coaster ride of our lives. Throughout the process we kept praying to God. “We know You have a plan…please show it to us and we will do Your will”.
Fast forward 10 years. Our children are the light of our lives. Can’t imagine life without either of them. So much pain in the past. And now so much joy and a lifetime together as a family. Children are such a blessing. I wish each and e wry one could be taken care of and live in a loving home.
Will pray for your sister and your family that they may become the adoptive parents of that sweet girl.
    Blessings,
    Susan

  3. I wore a fedora last week in Myrtle Beach. I always protect my hair from the sun! I love everything about your outfit, as always!! Congratulations, to your family on the adoption of this precious girl!!

  4. You look very stylish in your hat. I love wearing hats. For me the key to wearing a hat is to make sure it is pulled down far enough towards your eyes.
The little girl is precious. I know everything will work out for everyone.
    God Bless

  5. Hey Cyndi Girl, It’s been too long since I last commented on your always interesting posts. First, I have to tell you that is one precious little angel. I pray that everything thing works out perfectly and she soon will be in the home of a perfect Mama and Daddy. My hair stylist, Patti, and her husband just went through the adoption process, and oh my they have a beautiful 18 month old baby girl! She and her husband are both 47. Their eldest daughter and her husband took in a foster child last year. Patti and her husband prayed over it and realized that God sent a message to them to adopt a child when her 23 year old daughter and her husband took in their foster child. He does work in mysterious ways. Praise be to Him.
Now, I have to tell you how darn cute you look in that outfit, the hat is perfect for you! I have tried to wear hats for forever and never have had any success. My Mother wears hats often and carries them off splendidly. My sweet husband is not a critical man at all, but every time I have put a hat on, he just says, “you know Judy, I think you look better without.”

  6. You look so sassy in your hat! Love it! I wish I could wear a hat but I don’t have the right head for them. ????
So excited to hear more news in the near future about Tracis precious little girl.

  7. Love the hat and I a very similar one a lot in the summer heat and humidity when I’m going to be outside most of the day. How wonderful for this child and her soon to be family!! Blessing all around!

  8. Love the Fedora hat – especially because I bought it recently in Arizona and have a similar picture of me wearing it! Great style! 🙂

  9. Used to give my daughter grief for wearing black. Now I see the way it slims, and how versatile black is. The one thing that I don’t have is a lbd.

  10. Great summer outfit, you look very stylish in your fedora. I actually bought one last week, haven’t worn it yet. I wore hats while I was bald, but since I keep my hair short I never really think hats look right. But I love them on other ladies so I’m going to try it. I look forward to 2 more days of summer style Posts 🙂 Congratulations to your family, she is adorable!

  11. Oh how wonderful (the adoption)! What a blessing to adopt and be adopted! It’s a two way street. She’s adorable. Can you tell us where she’s from?
    Love your outfit, too. 🙂

    1. Hi Michelle,
I can’t say anything yet not even her name. But after it’s all finalized we’ll be able to share more.
      cyndi

  12. You look amazing in that hat! It is a perfect style for you. I really like the outfit, also great wedges.
Precious little girl, many blessings to your family.

  13. A beautiful child. Special. I am sure she will be a wonderful addition to your family. Love hat. I ordered a layered necklace from baublebar. It came very tangled so I wrote them. Not good customer service. I Finally got it untangled but took awhile. Their response was not very quick. They said they responded but it was undeliverable. Strange that I had several other emails from them trying to sell me something. I am not a hard person to please. I may try them again but was disappointed in service.

    1. Oh Mary, I’m sorry about that. I have ordered from them and I’ve not has any trouble. I don’t like bad customer service! 🙁
      cyndi

    2. not to take away from the fact that the company did not come through with good customer service. lost of tangles can be taken care of beautifully and rather quickly with a touch of baby oil and some straight pins. even I can accomplish this .

  14. Love this outfit! It looks comfy but still put together. Everything about the outfit is perfect! I like the bar necklace with your initial. Where did you get your fedora? I didn’t see a link. Not sure if I could pull it off since I have pretty short hair

    1. Hi Renee, I do acrylic. I’m going to be doing a post in the next week on my nails because I’ve been getting a lot of questions.
      Cyndi

  15. I like how your fedora has a little larger brim. Where did you get it? I can’t seem to find a link for it.

  16. Love your outfit! I wear a big straw hat while I walk for sun protection.

Cute little girl. So happy for your family!

  17. So excited for Traci and your entire family. She is precious, and she looks so much like Eli! It was great to follow the experience on Periscope 😉 Cute outfit too Cyndi! Have a blessed day! 😉
