Fall Accessory Trends 2026: 10 Wearable Trends for Women

I’ve been doing a lot of fall shopping lately, and I keep noticing the same accessories over and over again. The jewelry is getting bigger, suede bags are everywhere, and long necklaces are suddenly back after being hard to find for what feels like forever.

I always think accessories are a fun way to try a trend because you don’t have to change the way you dress. You can still wear your favorite jeans, sweaters, and jackets and just add something new to the mix. So today, I thought we’d look at some of the fall accessory trends for 2026 that I’m seeing everywhere and, more importantly, the ones I think we’ll actually wear.

Wondering what else is trending for fall 2026? Check out these posts for my take on the latest denim, shoes, colors, and overall fashion trends.

Long Pendant Necklaces

I have to start here because long necklaces are back! We’ve been wearing shorter necklaces and layered chains for several years now, so I was wondering when the pendulum would swing the other way.

I’m seeing long gold chains with pendants, medallions, stones, and some chunkier styles too. They look especially good with all the sweaters we’ll be wearing soon, and I like that you really only need one. Put on a simple sweater, add a long pendant necklace, and there’s not much else you need to do.

Long necklaces aren’t the only ones getting bigger. Statement necklaces are showing up again too, and I have to say, I’m here for it. This fall, I’m seeing chunky beads, larger links, stones, and necklaces with lots of texture. These are so good with the simple pieces we tend to wear in the fall. A solid sweater or basic top doesn’t need much when you’ve got a great necklace.

Mixed Metals

Remember when we worried about our jewelry matching? Thankfully, those days are behind us. Gold and silver are being worn together, and I’m even seeing more jewelry that combines both metals in one piece. I love this because most of us have a little of both in our jewelry boxes.

You don’t need to change your watch because you’re wearing gold earrings, and your handbag hardware doesn’t have to match your jewelry.

Suede Handbags

If you’ve looked at handbags lately, you’ve probably noticed the suede. It’s everywhere! Chocolate brown suede is especially popular, and I don’t think that’s going to surprise anyone. Brown is having such a big year, and a suede handbag is a really easy way to bring it into your wardrobe. I’m also seeing camel, cognac, olive, and burgundy.

Slouchy Shoulder Bags

Another thing I’ve noticed is that bags aren’t quite as structured as they have been. I’m seeing lots of soft shoulder bags that have a little slouch to them. You’ll see everything from smaller shoulder bags to larger hobo styles, but the overall look is softer and more relaxed.

East-West Bags

You may have heard the term “east-west bag” lately. It sounds fancy, but it really just means the bag is longer from side to side. Once I realized what they were called, I started noticing them everywhere.

Some of these bags are very structured, while others are soft and slouchy. Either way, that longer shape gives them a different look from the crossbody and tote bags we’ve been carrying for years.

Oversized Clutches and Pouch Bags

Here’s one I wasn’t expecting to see again so soon: clutches. They’re not the little dressy clutches we used to carry to weddings, though. The ones I’m seeing for fall are larger, softer, and much more relaxed. Some almost look like an oversized pouch tucked under your arm.

Would I carry one every day? Probably not. But I do like them for dinner or an evening out when you don’t need to carry as much.

Statement Belts Are Back

Belts are getting more interesting again too. For a while, belts were pretty simple and mostly there to do their job. This fall, I’m seeing wider leather belts, suede, bigger buckles, and quite a few Western-inspired details.

You don’t have to go overboard with the Western look. Even a simple leather belt with a larger buckle will give you the idea.

Silk Scarves

I’ve also been noticing more silk scarves lately, and they’re showing up in some really pretty fall colors and prints. Of course, you can wear one around your neck, but I keep seeing them tied onto handbags too.

I love that idea if you’re not normally a scarf person. It adds a little color and pattern without actually having to figure out how to tie one around your neck.

An Easy Way to Update Your Wardrobe for Fall

You know I’m never going to tell you that you need every trend. I certainly don’t! I think the best way to approach accessories is to find one or two that make sense with the clothes you already wear.

Now I want to know what you think. Are you happy to see long necklaces and statement jewelry coming back? Which of these fall accessory trends would you wear?

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.

Today marks 25 years since our lives were forever changed. We remember all those who lost their lives, the heroes who ran toward danger, and as a nation we grieved together.

Here’s what I know: God was present then, and He is present now. He remains our refuge when the world feels uncertain, He is our strength when we feel like we are weak, and He is our hope in every season.

Today is a beautiful day to remember, honor, and pray for all those affected by 9/11.

Lord, comfort those who still carry the sorrow of September 11th. Bless the families of the fallen, our first responders, our military, and our nation. Turn our hearts toward You and toward one another. May we never forget, and may we never lose hope. Amen.

  1. Thank you for this post! The accessories I’ve been seeing are really pretty for this fall season. And, I’m so glad a there’s a more refined version for scarves is too.

  2. I like all these accessories. Glad I bought a dark brown suede bag last year. I haven’t found the right long necklace yet. Being petite I have to be careful. In the past the necklaces were so long almost to my stomach.
