Sunday Inspiration-Father’s Day

When I was thinking about what to write for Father’s day, I couldn’t help but think about how difficult today is for those who have lost their father’s.

I can relate because I know how difficult Mother’s day is for me. So I want you to know if you have lost your father, I am praying for you today. I hope you know that you have a heavenly father that loves you very much!

I do want to say how thankful I am for my Dad and my husband. I don’t deserve either of these men. They are truly a blessing to me and wonderful examples.

Sunday Inspiration-Father's Day

One of my favorite songs for Father’s Day, is by Phillips, Craig & Dean. It reminds me that our children and our grandchildren are watching us. As parents and grandparents we need to point them to our Heavenly Father.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Sherri, I buy them everywhere! 🙂 I recently purchased some at JCPenny’s. I wear them with almost every outfit.
    Blessings,
    Cyndi

  2. Judy I’m so sorry. The “firsts” are always the hardest. What would we do without our heavenly father who comforts us during these difficult days?
Praying for Adam as he deals with all the responsibilities.
    Have a blessed day!
    Cyndi

  3. Oh Jean I’m so sorry. I know it’s hard to see your children hurt but I’m sure they were blessed with a wonderful father and thankfully, they have YOU.

  6. Shirley I’m so sorry for your loss. If you want to share this song, look at the video, in the top right corner. There’s a sideways V, I don’t know how else to describe it. Click that v and social media share buttons will show up, click on the facebook one and it will let you share it on your fb page.
    I hope that helps!

  9. Cyndi,
Can you share with us where you find your tank tops that you layer under your shirts? I have noticed that they are very modest.
I love using tanks and spaghetti strap shirts to layer for modesty but I have trouble finding ones that aren’t too low cut for me.
    Thanks!!
    Sherri

  10. Dear Cyndi, Thank you for your thoughtful post today. My husband’s name is Adam. His dad died unexpectedly a few months ago. Adam was in the room with him when his soul was lifted and he is so grateful for having those last few hours with him. Yet, his grief is still fresh and his responsibilities have been overwhelming managing the details of what remains. He and his Dad were very close and had grown even more so since his Mother died. He quite often made the trip to our house to spend a few days with us, we loved having him. I know my husband’s heart has been broken and I know today was especially painful for him. I held him up in prayer today and asked our God to shine peace upon him. Prayer faith and love are the salves for our broken hearts, we must use them frequently and plentifully. May all of you, whose Dad’s reside with our Lord, find your pain lifted today through your faith and prayer and may you be blessed with loving memories of him… Our lives have been blessed because of them. God’s peace.

  11. Thank you Cyndi! My heart hurts today for my 3 children as we lost their father 8 years ago. It makes me sad for them, knowing how difficult Fathers day is for them. SO look forward to your posts, thanks for sharing and inspiring!

  12. Thanks for the sweet post today, Cyndi. My dad went to heaven in 2001 and I was missing him today…I appreciate your kindness. 🙂 Aren’t we blessed to have our heavenly Father love us enough to have numbered the hairs on our heads?! Of course, I am also blessed to have a husband that is an amazing father to our son!

  13. Cyndi, I always look forward to your posts. They frequently bring a smile to my face and I always find some inspiration. Thank you for your prayers as well. I miss my Dad so much but, I am at the same time honored to have had such a wonderful example in my life. I truly appreciate you. Thank you for all you do for your readers and I know that your mom is watching over you as well. <3

  14. I am a Phillips, Craig, and Dean fan from way back. This makes me want to go dig out some CDs.

Thank you for thinking of those of us whose dads are no longer with us. It has been 9.5 years for me and I can hardly believe that much time has passed.

  15. My dad and my first husband is in heaven with the Lord. They were both wonderful dads. I miss them so much and this song is beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. Can someone tell how to put this song on my facebook page, I am not up on all of these things and would love your help. Thanks for sharing.

  16. echo that thank you for thinking and praying for all of us adults that have lost our fathers. I have always known how blessed I was to have had my parents so far into adulthood. it is still not easy; especially those first times after they went to be with the Lord.
Happy Fathers day for your father and husband.

  17. My dad died 3 years ago this month, and Father’s Day is a very difficult
day. Thank you for thinking of all of us fatherless adult children…you never outgrow your need for your daddy.
