Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by my blog. I’m also on Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.

I love the picture Jesus gives us in this verse. A branch doesn’t have to struggle to produce fruit. It simply has to stay connected to the vine. And the same is true for us.

We can spend so much time trying to be strong enough, wise enough, patient enough, or good enough. We try to carry our families, our responsibilities, our worries, and sometimes even our faith, in our own strength.

But Jesus never asked us to do life apart from Him. He said, “I am the vine; you are the branches.”

Our job is to stay close to Jesus. To spend time in His Word. To talk with Him throughout our day. To trust Him when we don’t understand what He is doing. As we remain in Him, He supplies what we need.

  1. Such sweet pictures of all your family together. It’s a feat in itself to get everyone’s schedules to work out. We have a large family too and I know. Such a blessing when we all are together. How did you feed them all? I so know how you feel this weekend missing your mom. I believe you lost her in Sept. I lost my dad in Sept too, this weekend 28 yrs ago. He fell off a ladder. I was only 36. I miss him dearly too. My mom is now almost 88 and she never married after being widowed since 59 yrs old. She now resides in a memory care facility and I’m not sure she knows me anymore. For sure cherish your dad. What a blessing he has of you all. Thanks for sharing your family and fashion ideas with sales.

  2. What a beautiful family! I’m sure your dad’s heart was full as well:).
And thank you for the BFTH- such a good reminder!

  3. I love your family pictures. Did not realize your family is so large! ❤️
Understand completely about missing your mom; will never go away, we learn to live with the memories. Happy Birthday to your Dad!

  4. It looks like it was a great day celebrating your dad’s birthday! What a blessing to have had everyone together.. those days make a heart full !
The girl next to your daughter in the cousins pic ( I think it was) looks like she could be her sister !
    Have a great day!

  5. The family pictures from yesterday are beautiful! Your dad is a very lucky man to have such a beautiful family. Happy Birthday to him!

  6. Love your devotions. Mostly here for them. Your family is beautiful. So nice to be able to celebrate your dad.
My mom passed 37 yrs ago and boy do I still miss her. That will never go away. But our Heavenly Father promises us that we will all be together again …. That’s the good news. Keep enjoying your beautiful family. 🥰

  7. I ABSOLUTELY Love This! Thank YOU for Sharing Your Family with all of us through the air waves. Everyone Looks Great~.~

  8. Two things I appreciate about this post. When you said 2 things can exist at once. Grief and joy are the 2 for me. My sons getting married in January. I am overjoyed. She has 3 sons. 11 and 6 year old twins. Watching the joy of my son with these littles is glorious. And grief. Ive been estranged from my 3 blood grandchildren for about 6 years for the oldest 2. And 6 months from the baby who is only 6 months. Ive never met her. But my greatest longing is to hold her just once. I am in contact with this son. But its sparatic.
And 2nd. Your beauty of the heart. What a great reminder. My only niece is getting married a couple of hours out of town. My mom has alzheimers and my dad is almost completely blind and physically disabled. And im having to pack them up, get them to the hotel and answer numerous questions from both parents. I pray im doing it in God’s strength but I dont think I know the difference.

  9. Love the pictures of your family this was always a tradition at Christmas when the entire family would gather at my Granny’s after gift opening at lunch each family would stand around the tree and have their picture taken then would come the group picture everyone in place set the timer on the camera and hope you got in the picture before the timer went off. Sweet memories most all is passed now only a hand full of left and we never see each other anymore cause we have all went our different ways

  10. What a beautiful family, Cyndi ❗️ I love all the pictures, but I agree with you. The one of the grands is the best♥️
