Styling The Palazzo Pant

Happy Monday friends! Where did the weekend go? It was beautiful here in Kentucky and we soaked up every bit of it.

Last week, I shared a post on How to Rock the Palazzo Pant. I don’t know if I’m rocking them but I did wear these to church yesterday.

I also know, not everyone loves them but I am a huge fan! I would wear them everyday if I could. I don’t think they look like pajamas if they are styled right.

These Katherine Way palazzo pants are not thin and the material is silky and comfortable!

I added this simple bar necklace. It’s one of my new favorite necklaces. You can wear it alone or use it as a layering necklace.

I wore wedges with a lower heel because I wanted my pants to hang almost to the ground. I personally don’t like these pants to look too short.

Styling The Palazzo Pant
I will be looking for more palazzo pants to wear this summer. They’re a great alternative if you don’t want to wear shorts. I think they will be cool enough to wear all summer.

Beauty For the Heart~~If Jesus gives us a task or assigns us to a difficult season, every ounce of our experience is meant for our instruction and completion if only we’ll let Him finish the work. I fear, however, that we are so attention-deficit that we settle for bearable when beauty is just around the corner.” -Beth Moore

  1. Hi Cyndi,
I have two floral pairs of pants… not sure that they are called “palazzo” pants ? hee hee But I’ve had them for about 3-4 years now and love them!
You look very stunning in your Palazzo Pants!!! Love the white blouse that’s a good choice with such colorful britches….. I do that too with mine when I can’t match a top perfectly with the colors in the bottoms…. I had to walk around the Florance Mall carrying my bottoms in a bag hunting a top that matched and it wasn’t easy… corals are hard to match. 🙂

  2. OMG!!! love them I see them in the stores but I am hesitant to try on being 5’4, love your style, I too am in my 40’s. I get my ideas from your style, keep up the great work!! I too am a tucker in the front!! ;o) give that lil bit of a hip look.. I look forward to your posts everyday!!

  3. I love your style. I’m mid-40’s and always looking to dress “appropriately, yet trendy” for my age I love referring to your style for that. (Not to mention I’m only 5 feet tall, so that’s a very BIG challenge!…think maxi skirts and lots of shirts that look like dresses on me! Ugh!) Please tell me where that bag is from. I LOVE IT!

    1. Hey, I agree
      I’m 49 and 5ft tall as well.
Have you ever googled Kylie Minogue casual style? She is 5ft and 49 years as well. Very stylish woman too. Lisa

  4. You are a great example of a pastor’s wife ….. both fashionable and gracious and with a beautiful feminine heart reaching out to the world ! You certainly wear what suits you and your personality and to me always look a million dollars! I like the palazzo pants … you wear the well!

  5. Oh, you do look comfy and relaxed. It’s not a trend I’m going to follow but they are cute on younger women like yourself.

  6. I say, “you’re rocking it”!! They look great on you, and I really like how you styled them! Your purse really ties it all together. These are the most comfortable slacks!!

  7. Love the pants on you but don’t think I will be getting them. But love all the things you style. Fashion is like books. We read and then pick out what fits for us. I do enjoy everything you style. Love the beauty for the heart today.

  8. Hi Cyndi, I love the pants that you are wearing! I check your webpage everyday, even though I’m 27, and this page is more for women who are nearing their 40s. It inspires me and it’s a welcoming start to my day. I love looking at your “style for the day” and words of inspiration!

    1. Aww thank you Emily!! My daughter is 29 and she said I need to quit saying for women over 40 because she wears all my clothes. Ha!!
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  9. Think the print and color of pants are pretty. Maybe next time you could try it with a shorter top.

  10. Not liking the half-tuck with this outfit. It says more “I’m trying too hard” or “I went to the bathroom and didn’t get put back together” than “I’m a gracious, lovely, fashionable pastor’s wife” to me. I haven’t decided about a pair for myself yet. At 5′ 2.5″ and voluptuous, I’m just not sure. But they do look comfortable.

      1. You are, girl…all the time. Love the vibe the bag adds to this outfit, too. My comment prob came across way more negative than I meant it…just not feeling the half in, half out on this outfit, especially for church.

        1. Ha!! You made me laugh! I didn’t think you were being mean. I totally understand that they are not everyone’s favorite. But I did wear them so I thought I would share.
          Have a blessed day!!
          Cyndi

  11. I’d like to see what the outfit would look like with the top out. I’m not a big fan of the half tuck. Reminds me of kids being told to tuck their shirt in by the teacher. The pants looks cute on you. You’re the right height. I don’t think at 5’3″ I could pull it off.

  12. Love the way you styled the palazzo pants…I love the top tucked in the front, I haven’t tried that yet! Have a blessed day pretty lady!

  13. You look great in this outfit Cyndi! I won’t be buying this style pant this season but love them on others. Since I’m a short curvy girl I think the key to these pants would be a smaller print. The last thing I want is more attention drawn to my behind ?

  14. Cyndi, I have a question about handbags/purses. The trend of what style to carry is changing all of the time. I have fallen in love with Lilly Bloom purses, sold only at Belk, because they are made from recycled products and are completely waterproof, and the style is what I like. However, none of them are in a solid color. I noticed the solid color purse you used yesterday. Is it better to carry a solid color purse, especially when our clothing is printed? Thank you!

    1. No. I think you carry what you like!! I see all kinds of different purses and i think solid and printed are both cute!
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

  15. I’ll be shopping for a pair of palazzo pants soon. I’m petite so for me I’ll be looking for a more subtle print. I’m thinking a black and white small print of some sort. I used the wear these in the 70’s also. What I’m liking about this trend right now is they’re a nice change from the skin-tight skinny jeans all the time. I think palazzo pants, if styled right, fall over a woman’s natural curves nicely and can even hide imperfections. Cute church outfit Cindi! Beth Moore’s insight is right on…something I must remember always!

  16. I love palazzo pants. I wore a pair to lunch with my sister on Friday and got so many compliments on them. They are comfy and you still look put together, what’s not to love about that?!

  17. My motto is if I wore them the first time around I don’t wear them when they come back 🙂
I remember them well from the 70’s!

  18. Ya know, if someone wants to rock the pants….go for it. Me? Not so much. Think it is not the shape/cut of the pant as much as it is over the top patterns I can’t get on board with. Solid color, perhaps. Styled ’em cute….do a solid pair.

  19. They look terrific on you, but I don’t think there is any way I could pull it off. I don’t think I’ve even noticed them in the stores before but maybe my eyes are just skipping over them. If I run across them though, I might try a pair on and see if I look any better than I think I would.

  20. I love the top. Just ordered it from your link. 🙂 Picked up a couple pair last week and love them. My daughter asked if I was getting in touch with my inner hippie. I said “maybe.”
    🙂

  21. Love these on you, Cyndi! I love my palazzo pants as well, and I’m not someone who would think they’d look good on! I’m short and very curvy. The key is balance! I have large hips and thighs, but I love the way the pants just fall over my trouble areas to camouflage them and make me look taller! Yay for wearing your jammies all summer?. Blessings! Krista

  22. These pants look great on you…love them
I used to get an email from you, but no longer. Don’t know why.
    Have a geat day?

  23. Cyndi these are so cute! I have been hesitant to buy a pair because I didn’t know how to style them . This is perfect! Thanks! Susan

  24. Thank you for the Beth Moore quote, which could not have been more timely. My mother has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, so I am trying to take over her financial affairs rather unexpectedly. Just learned that her house is about to be sold by the county for back taxes and she hasn’t filed an IRS return since 2010. I’m sure that’s just the tip of the iceberg, and I am feeling very overwhelmed, but this quote quieted my heart and really encouraged me this morning.
You ARE rocking those pants, and it’s fun to see someone who can actually wear them. I’m going to sit this trend out, but I have decided to finally embrace the maxi this summer – baby steps!

    1. I’m so sorry about your Mom. Praying God will give you strength in the coming days. Keep clinging to Him.
      Blessings,
      Cyndi

    2. It is so difficult when we begin to take over for our aging parents. I can relate to your challenges and you have my prayers…palazoo pants, or not!

  25. You are so darling, but not in those particular pants. The style is great and I like the fabric EXCEPT look where the red part of it falls on you. YIKES! Throw them away!!!!

    1. Maybe if the top were completely untucked that portion would be covered a bit more. I think I would do a full tuck or fully untucked with this style of pants, but I haven’t tried them yet so I can’t say for sure how I’d tuck. I really like the colors of these.

      1. Hey, if you throw them away tell me where you live so I can pick through your trash can and get them! HAHAHA You look lovely in them.

  26. So cute! I’m “skeered” to try them because as you said, they can easily look like pajamas if not styled the right way! Love the top too! YOU are such an inspiration Cyndi. BTW, I’m really liking the length of your hair – very pretty.
